Befores, afters, mood boards, plans, failures, wins. We’ve done a lot of projects, and they’re all here.

We have a long-standing relationship with DIY, and love rolling our sleeves up and making it happen.

Even when you don’t want to rip down a wall, you can make that space in your home better. Right now.

Mother’s Day is just over 2 weeks away on May 10th. And you know what I realized this year? I actually like Mother’s Day more than my birthday. There’s a lot of hype and attention and focus on what are we going to DO for birthdays and Mother’s Day is more about not doing things and appreciation…but you still get a gift. If you take a nap on your birthday, it’s like you’re wasting it–but that’s encouraged on mother’s day!

When I was putting together this year’s Mother’s Day Gift Guide, I combined my own wish list with a few favorites I already own (that I want to buy for all my girlfriends!) and a few things that reminded me of my own mother–including what she asked for!

  1. Wood and marble footed fruit bowl- $59.95 The most gorgeous fruit bowl that can sit out on the counters for as long as it wants!
  2. 20 piece storage set- $39.99 When I asked my mom what she wanted for Mother’s Day, she actually said, “Tupperware, but like nice stuff you know?” I feel like this is what she must have been referring to!
  3. Sleep mist- $32 When sprayed high into the air, it helps to create a calming environment for sleep. You just spray and breathe deeply and drift off to sleep. Sounds like the perfect Sunday afternoon to me.
  4. Chloe mini strand necklace- $55 I love this delicate necklace that you could layer or wear on its own.
  5. Rosemary Topiary, ribbed metal pot- $68 We usually have fresh rosemary in our fridge and I wouldn’t mind one bit having this plant in our kitchen.
  6. Maui Escapist boxed candle- $38 This bergamot candle is my absolute favorite! I’ve bought it three times over!
  7. Olive & June The Poppy manicure tool – $15.99 Since her nails could use some TLC, set her up with some home help! This tool pops on the the top of the nail polish bottle and makes painting your own nails SO much easier. I’ve heard rave reviews.
  8. Canvas gardening apron- $65 For gardening, or painting or dishing up that spaghetti sauce she’s perfected.
  9. “Sorry About Your Mother’s Day” card- $5 The saddest part about Mother’s Day for a lot of people this year will be spending it apart from our mothers. This card says it all, but is also blank inside so you can fill it with an ode to the wonderful woman she is.
  10. Garden scissors + sheath- $14 I’m not a huge gardener, per se, but I do love to head outside and cut branches and flowers to arrange in a vase and I would love to have these scissors in hand.
  11. The Abroad tote bag – $178.50 (Currently 50% off!) I’ve had my eye on this bag for awhile now and it just went on super sale! It’s chic enough to go from every day to a wedding!
  12. Vitamix blender- $700 (currently $150 off!) I have a green smoothie every morning and recently we switched from a Blendtec to this Vitamix and it’s an incredible difference. The tamper makes it so I never have to stop it, shake it around, add more liquid. It just blends perfectly every time. It’s the brightest spot in my morning.
  13. Family etc. photo album book- $45 I am not a scrapbooker, but I love this album for organizing physical prints. For flipping through. For remembering these fleeting moments.
  14. Revitalash eyelash serum- $98 She’s 5 weeks away from the longest, fullest lashes of her life. I swear by this serum. I’ve tried 3-4 different ones and while they all had their strengths, Revitalash has been my absolute favorite. Just swipe it on your clean lash line every night and everyone is going to ask you if you have extensions in no time.
  15. Match striker- $29.99 Just give me a match striker and candle and I’m a happy mommy. It’s true.
  16. Sugar Ride Two child bike trailer – $349.95 So she can get in those bike rides (or jogs) with her little ones safely in tow.
  17. One step blow-out brush- $74.99 I have this. It’s dynamite. I want to get one for everyone I know. It’s a brush and blow dryer in one and my hair has never looked so smooth and voluminous. I can’t believe how EASY it is to get a blow out look. For real. This thing is so good.
  18. Cashmere & fig handsoap + lotion- $17.60 Soap and lotion is a hot commodity these days, and a special bottle would be so well received. (Maybe with the card!)
  19. Le Creuset shallow square baker- $115 A versatile heirloom piece so she can make her signature roasted chicken or brownies!
  20. Turkish towel robe- $88 I got this robe a few weeks ago for an early Mother’s Day and it’s the only thing that can get me out of the shower.

Ps. More gift ideas for moms!

LOL! I follow your mom. I asked for nice matching Rubbermaid storage containers last Christmas! Best present ever!
