Our cabinet line with Semihandmade launches in 10 days! It’s been over a year in the making and now it’s almost here and we can’t wait. To celebrate, we’ve decided to do a couple big giveaways leading up to the January 28th launch!

To enter, CLICK HERE to enter your name and email address and follow @chrislovesjulia and @semihandmade on Instagram and that’s it! The giveaway closes January 28th at 11:59 pm PST and we’ll announce the winners shortly after!

If you aren’t familiar with Semihandmade, they offer stylish and practical cabinet doors that fit Ikea kitchen, bath and storage systems. Our line with them consists of three wood tones (with more to come!) Saddle, Dusk and Cove (shown respectively below). Each are made of an extremely durable textured melamine with an MDF core. Below you can see all three doors.

In our cabin kitchen, we used the Dusk doors and are completely obsessed with the way it’s coming together.

The line also comes with coordinating toe kicks, cover panels, everything you need to make your cabinets look top notch. Can’t wait to show you more of this kitchen and to see these doors in so many of your homes, too! DON’T FORGET TO ENTER HERE.  Which one would you choose if you win?! When you win? When you win! ;)

What do you think?

  1. Nancy Hall says:

What is the color/brand of countertop you used with Cove in the picture on Semihandmade’s website and picture is also on your Instagram account. Thanks

  2. Lindsay Manly says:

OK I am freaking out! Just entered this and you have no idea how excited I am. We need new cabinets so bad! Like seriously, it’s laughable. Our cabinet doors are falling off the hinges left and right and add that with baby proofing measures, this couldn’t come at a more perfect time. Fingers crossed, and congratulations you guys on all of your hard work! So excited for you and this line!

  3. Kait B says:

Kudos guys! Love the new line-so lovely. Have fun in LV!

  4. April lobb says:

I just put together my now Ikea cabinets and am actually looking at Semihanmade doors!! This is awesome! I love all of your posts and have got so many ideas from you! I just entered the Semihandmade giveaway! Fingers crossed!

  5. Cami says:

I usually love everything you guys do, but in my opinion something is off with this combo in the kitchen. I keep looking at it and can’t completely put my finger on it – maybe the clash in undertones, or the clash in creams (wall, beam wash) and pure whites (counter, sink), or the three different wood grains and colors (cabinets, floors, beams). Or the brass with the black faucet and black counters. My eyes have a hard time finding a place to rest. I’m just wondering if it’s just me and my personal tastes? Or maybe the way the pics show up on my desktop?? I’m not sure, but do you guys super love the combo of all the various colors/patterns/undertones? Do you like your kitchen at home better? I’m asking because I want to update my kitchen and in addition to what works, I’d also love to hear what doesn’t work and why. I thought for sure some portion of the kitchen (other than the island) was going to be under the “what’s not working” category in your post the other day.

    • Julia says:

The kitchen is FAR from done. So while I can’t guarantee anyone will love the outcome but us, I can promise we feel confident in the direction we’re headed.

  6. Caeli says:

Cove. Black modern handles. In our soon to be fixer upper home. It’s all I’ve ever wanted. No really.

  7. Samantha says:

Beautiful! I’m loving the cove color! ????????????

  8. Amy says:

It’s hard to decide. But I think I’m leaning more towards the dusk. They all have such a nice look.
Thank you for making this a fun give away.

  9. Nicole Tenney says:

If I won I would absolutely freak out! Then I would obsess for days and days about which one I would pick because they are all so gorgeous!!!

  10. Bren says:

Wow! This is amazing, guys! This new line is gorgeous.

  11. Morgan says:

Will the doors fit the pax wardrobe frames??

  12. Maureen Belz says:

Just moved and would love an updated look to my (new) kitchen.

  13. Vikki says:

Ugh your cabinets in the A frame have me in love with dusk and craving a kitchen makeover. Thanks for the giveaway and congrats on the new line!!

  14. Jeanette says:

I live everything you do. I have been with out a kitchen fir 3 years. Started a project everything went wrong.
I ran out of money. Anything would really HELP!!

  15. Annick Blizzard says:

I love the ones you installed in the cabin! Such a perfect mid-tone shade! The lighter colour is very pretty too though. Let’s face it, they’re all pretty. Hahaha

  16. Kourtney Pennington says:

Wow! I did love the way it turned out, we just moved into a fixer upper and dusk is the color we would choose :D
Thanks for all of your posts, tips, and recipes guys!

  17. Beautiful! Ooo… love them all, but love that dusk! ????????????????‍♀️ Thanks for sharing this, and bless y’all with the launch!!

  18. Lori Q says:

I absolutely love how the colors all come together. I am remodeling my kitchen and have so many ideas and trouble trying to mix and match colors.

  19. Jessica Jewkes says:

I love cove! Our kitchen is so old and worn out. This would be a dream come true!

  20. Lauten K says:

Thank you for the opportunity! I would do dusk in the kitchen, or cove in the bathroom depending which prize I win ;) Love the choices, great job CLJ! We did a temporary fix in our kitchen 1.5 years ago by painting the cabinets. They look nice but aren’t our style (we love shaker!) and the paint is getting small chips in it, being in a high-use area. Fingers crossed!!

  21. Amber says:

    Cove is so dang pretty!!

  22. Mary says:

I am loving following along with the clj cabin and this kitchen makeover is good!! I would probably chose cove.

  23. Nicole says:

This is BEAUTIFUL! The mix of wood tones is perfect. You always make everything you touch magical.

Funny, i noticed that the bottom square drawer front has the grain in the opposite direction then the top in your pictures, but on the Semi-handmade pictures, they are in the same direction. Photoshop? :)

  24. Hailey says:

So happy for y’all!! Some of us were talking at the office and thought we’d ask if there’s any way possible to post pictures of products without any editing/filters (you know what we mean, lol) It’s so hard when a homeowner wants to make the investment but pictures posted (color, etc..) of the product due to editing/filters and such are off. We do realize everyone wants to tweak photos for social media worthy shots but consumers love to zoom in on products and this makes it more difficult. Much love to you…

  25. Dawn McMillen says:

My kitchen dates to 1961 and is very worn. Would just love new cabinets ????

  26. Lynn says:

Love it! Toss up between Cove and Dusk – beautiful lines to the cabinets! Can’t wait to see the finished room :)

  27. Angie says:

It looks beautiful! Will you share the hardware details?

  28. Eleanor M. Palmer says:

Would love to make my kitchen look more modern. Love brownish gray color or very light sage green. It’s so outdated.

  29. Loralei Price says:

I would choose Saddle. I look the richness of the color and grain.

  30. AP says:

So excited for you guys! The cabinet fronts looks lovely.

  31. Sara says:

Love love this! How amazing and generous of both. All 3 are gordeous but I’m dreaming of a light and bright kitchen so the cove finish would be literally a dream come true! We are in the process of buying a fixer upper and I plan on doing most if not all the work. So this would be such a blessing

  32. Renee says:

I think I would go with Cove. Very pretty.

  33. Meghan says:

It would be very hard to choose but I think I’d go with Cove. Love that driftwood vibe.

  34. Nora says:

When I win! I will choose Cove! Wanting to keep it light and bright. ;)
