Every so often, a flavor combination comes along that makes you tilt your head and squint your eyes, as you wonder, “Would that really be good?” This smoothie is like that, but it catches you off guard and is so delicious.
A few great things about this smoothie – it’s dairy free, grain and gluten free (doesn’t use oat milk), vegan, and easily made nut free, paleo or whole 30 depending on the liquid and sweetener you use. If you’re on any medications, double check to make sure they don’t react with grapefruit juice before drinking this smoothie. Otherwise, I think you’ll really love it.
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

A reader recently asked me if I’m starting to fully embrace traditional style and whether we still consider our house to be a “modern Colonial” and why. It was a really great question and so timely — I had really just been thinking about my approach to this home and how my style has changed […]

I’ve made this 1-2x a week since you posted it! It. Is. So. Delicious. I leave out the sweetener and add spinach. Obsessed!!
This is truly inspired. Avocado and mango is the power couple I never knew I needed. Thanks, Chris! ????
Looks go delicious! Always looking for new smoothie ideas-thanks!
I love this Smoothie. Its look sweet and I will try to prepare it when I get all the ingredients! Thank you for sharing!
I got so excited to finally find a good smoothie recipe without banana… then looked through the recipe and… womp womp ???????? Chris tricked me.
Take out the banana! Just add some extra mango – the banana mainly helps with texture but all mango will be just great.
Looks yummy! What blender do you use?
It’s a Vitamix – exact one isn’t available but the replacement can be found on Amazon.
Just made this morning and it was really delicious! I substituted honey for Agave and left out the Stevia. Also left out the mint as I don’t care for it. Would absolutely recommend and will be making again! Thanks Chris!
Yum! I’m super curious to try this. I have everything but the grapefruit at home. Guess I’m going to the store. Happy Sunday! So cute to see Polly helping. ????
Do you have any recommendations for replacing the grapefruit juice? Grapefruit juice can have negative effects with certain medications.
I’d skip this one!
This is mentioned in the text of the post! Check it out above. :)
That looks really yummy. I want to try it, but I’ve developed a banana allergy, mango would have been my substitute. Do you think I could increase the mango by a cup, or do you suggest another substitute? It’s surprising how often I have to adapt or forgo recipes.
Definitely you could increase the mango and skip he banana.
Sorry…just saw the orange juice comment. My bad…
I’m one of those that cannot do grapefruit and I’m guessing because of the unique flavor profile, there is no good substitute???
