I’ve been teasing this secret product partnership we’ve been referring to as “Project Kelvin,” and it’s time I spill the beans. We’re so proud to announce our collaboration with Shades of Light and the release of a collection of light fixtures, including three lines! I’m a big advocator for layering lighting throughout your home, so this was an easy partnership to get on board with, as are all of our partnerships. But keeping this a secret has been especially difficult since it’s been in the works since 2021; feels good to share finally.

We recently drove to Virginia for a photo shoot for the launch, and it was a “pinch me” moment seeing our vision and hard work come to fruition. Between the three collections, you’ll find an incredible assortment of chandeliers, pendants, sconces, bath lights, and flush mounts that are modern yet classic traditional lighting.
I wanted to create lighting pieces that add personality and are easy to style, so I selected bold, moody colors that could be a focal point in a room or the supporting role. I envision many of these fixtures over a kitchen island or a dining room table – and I also love a chandelier in a living room. Thrilled to finally be sharing it with you all! Let me introduce to you the collection, which ranges from $145-$875 and is available now exclusively here.
The Victor collection is very obviously inspired by the pendants hanging above our island and is named after my uncle Victor. Both the Victor and Edie collections are available in seven signature CLJ colors that I think would go anywhere (Merlot, navy, billiard green, black, beige, cream, and brass). Once we narrowed down the colors, everything fell into place. You can buy this stunning shape in both a pendant and a semi-flush mount.
1. Victor Semi-Flush Ceiling Light in Midnight Blue
2. Victor Semi-Flush Ceiling Light in Bone White
3. Victor Semi-Flush Ceiling Light in Burgundy
4. Victor Pendant in Black
5. Victor Pendant in Schoolhouse Green
6. Victor Pendant in Brass
The Edie lighting design includes two-tone cone shades in the seven signature gloss colors on black or brass frames. And it’s a show-stopper. I was very inspired by our living room light fixture, but I wanted to give it a CLJ spin with the metal shades. Edie comes as a sconce, island chandelier, 4-light chandelier, or 8-light chandelier. Something for everyone.
1. Edie Two-Tier Chandelier in Bone White
2. Edie Island Chandelier in Brass
3. Edie Sconce in Burgundy
4. Edie Sconce in Midnight Blue
5. Edie Chandelier in Schoolhouse Green
6. Edie Island Chandelier in Black
Last but certainly not least is the Marlo collection, with classic fluted shades in either milk glass or colored ceramic shades on brass or black frames. I love that this collection feels historical, but you can really modernize a space with it if you go with a colored shade option.
The possibilities are endless with vanity lights, pendants, chandeliers, chandeliers, pendants, and sconces.
1. Marlo Two-Tier Chandelier
2. Marlo Pendant
3. Marlo Bath Sconce in Schoolhouse Green
4. Marlo Vanity Light in Burgundy
5. Marlo Ceiling Light
6. Marlo Chandelier
7. Marlo Vanity Light in Black
I’ve been trying to decide which fixtures I want to put in my own home, and I’m dying to get my hands on an Edie chandelier in Burgundy to put in our dining room. The current light we have in there doesn’t give off nearly as much light as we need, and I would be overjoyed to upgrade to this beauty. We mocked up what it could look like, and I’m pretty in love. Thoughts?
So happy to have worked with Shades of Light on this launch, and they went above and beyond to execute my ideas and style in order to bring about these lighting fixtures for all of you! Be sure to tag us in any photos you post on Instagram, so we can see the pieces in your own home.
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

We recently painted our study a dark, moody green color. This is after we first painted it a muddy green, then repainted it a blue-gray. I guess what they say is true; third time’s a charm! The journey was worth it, though, because I’m so in love with this glossy green in contrast with the […]

I am absolutely in love with basically everything you do! But this lighting is over the top fabulous! And at a phenomenal price point! I am curious what bulb type you’d pair with them? More specifically, the victor or any bathroom sconces where you see the bulb itself but want the best lighting projected? TIA!
Like every other line you’ve had – wish you would ship to the uk! We have nothing like your designs over here and my master bedroom has been aim light and rug less for a year as a result. Huge love and respect for all your work x
The lights are beautiful, but in my opinion are not “inspired” by Jean Stoffer so much as recreated at a lower price point for accessibility. I know that happens with major retailers like Target, etc but I can’t help but feel for Jean Stoffer and wonder how she feels about the launch. Is this something that the industry talks about?
YES!!!!!!!!!! I just ordered the Edie Island Chandilier – Brass/Brass! LOVE IT! I’ve been searching for close to a year to find something grand to go over our kitchen island. We have been working over a year on our Townhouse remodel. This is gonna be perfect!!!
We’re not supposed to say “dupe” anymore, but the Victor pendant is *extremely* similar to its high-end counterpart by Visual Comfort; I don’t love the idea of someone’s hard work being replicated into a lesser object (like fast fashion knock-offs). However, the Edie chandeliers look truly spectacular in their own right! I can’t wait to see those styled in homes.
Visual comfort is actually a “knock off” of an even MORE high end one. It’s all about creating lighting for every price point!
It’s the cerulean sweater (from A Devil Wears Prada), but in lighting!
you get it! hahaha
Hi Chris and Julia ~ I love everything about the lights! They’re all beautiful and I have my eye on one or two of them.
You asked about the lighting in your dining room and although I love it in that room, I always think that your table needs to be bigger…especially if you’re going with the bigger lighting overhead. Love ❤️ everything you do!
Beautiful!
What would you suggest for a Williamsburg home? Are these too contemporary?
Gorgeous!
these are great! Is there any way to see what the burgundy/green marlo lights look like on? That burgundy marlo is just dying to be installed in my bathroom, but it’s a fairly dark space so I’d love to get a feel for what the light looks like. Are the shades opaque or translucent?
Absolutely beautiful! 😍 Congrats on this super collaboration! I already have my eyes on Edie 2-tier. Hoping the height will be enough for my 2 story ceiling!
