We only have a few more weeks of summer, and we’ve been enjoying every minute of summer fun and sunshine while we can. We kicked July off with the start of Color School, which was so incredibly fun! Already thinking of ways to improve it for next summer because we received so much positive feedback surrounding it. The cherry on top of the month was finishing up Faye’s room, which we have been working on for the last few months. Wrapping up any home project always feels like such a huge relief. And we even put a few finishing touches in Polly’s room, just in time for her 6th birthday. Here are some other favorite moments from the month!
Who knew a romper could be so comfortable? Ever since I got this, I want to wear it every single day.
Finally found the perfect illustrations to go inside the frames in Faye’s room. The great part about the frames is that they can easily open and close from the front, and Faye can eventually swap in and out her own artwork if she wishes. Isn’t that every child’s dream??
Snagged these from the Nordstrom sale, and I wish I had more places to wear them to.
We did a quick little bathroom refresh for the girls, and who knew throwing down a cute bathmat could make such a difference??
Here are some other July favorites!
I just got this in Khaki and light indigo (kinda like a light wash), and I just love having a bit of a western moment.
I’ve given up on detangler. Leave-in conditioner is the only thing that works on my girls’ hair after a long day of swimming! I tested a bunch of leave-in conditioners and this one works the best.
The comfiest outfit there is – comes in 14 colors!
Just got these for Greta on Prime Day, and gosh, they’re so great! They wheel like a dream through the airport.
Couldn’t ask for a more perfect frame to highlight the sweet Wizard of Oz art I had printed (free from the public domain!) for Faye’s room.
I have been having pretty bad neck pain for the past six weeks and it has been preventing me from getting good sleep. Last week, in the middle of the night, I ordered this pillow, and while it hasn’t cured my neck pain completely–yet! I have seen results already! I have a lot more movement and a lot less stiffness. It looks intense, but I’m hooked on it!
Installing these Roman shades in Faye’s room took all of 5 minutes. I’m serious. It’s so easy and makes such a big impact.
I can’t tell you how many people thought I was making my breakfast with a paint stick on Instagram this month, which would be so nice. But nope, it’s just our favorite spatula!
Shared my entire makeup routine this month. I start with the minimalist complexion stick, then this bronze balm (I’ve been wearing the color Leo, and it’s perfect for summer!), then top it off with some cheeky flush balm (blending it all together with this brush). And if I’m really going all out, I’ll use the brow pomade, clean lash mascara, and their signature lip.
Did a quick refresh in Faye & Polly’s jack-n-jill bathroom with some items from Anthropologie! This bathmat made a big impact.
I have been struggling with some anxiety lately for seemingly no reason. I started taking two Ashwagandha supplements every other day, and my mind is so much more calm and focused!
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

The next project we’re checking off our 2023 project list is the mudroom! This used to be the laundry room until we built out a much bigger, better laundry room upstairs. So, in the meantime, this space has been exclusively Cricket’s room. Cricket will still have a special space here, but we’re transforming this dingy […]
