With all the recent excitement surrounding Faye’s new room, Polly was desperate for some attention of her own. I couldn’t help but do a little refresh in her room, with a few things we had around the house, and I’m happy to report that simple act has changed everything. And with her 6th birthday (!!!) tomorrow, I thought I’d share how her room looks today!

A Dresser For Polly’s Room
Polly’s room when we moved in, looked a lot like the other bedrooms in our house. Just kind of a box of beige. Back in 2021, we did a phase one of Polly’s room, including a wallpaper install and light fixture swap, which I still adore. But not a lot has happened since then. The only thing I switched was I added a few pillows (that used to live in Faye’s room in our old house!), old nightstands from the guest house (I recently got larger ones for in there) and I styled her little dresser.

The combination of the orange-y pillows on her blue bed against that whimsical wallpaper feels JUST right. I love all the pattern play in here, too. (Peep one of the unicorn horns I added to the left of the headboard).
Polly Checkered Straw/Ivory Rug
One of my favorite Marketplace finds is that dresser that’s just her size. Last week, I hung some art above it and I love how it almost blends in to the walls, but adds such a rich color and texture to that area. Like the crown on top.

Do you recognize the little green lamp? I initially bought it for Faye’s room, but it was too small for the scale of her dresser. I was going to return it, but tried it in Polly’s room and I’m so glad I did! The color and scale are just right here.
So that’s the update on Polly’s room. Her room is the smallest and the wallpaper, although very busy, really doubles as art for the whole room. You’ll notice there’s only 2 things on the wall and I think that really helps expand the room. I do have plans for some window treatments in here, I’m just waiting for the fabric I have my eye on to come back in stock. But other than that, Polly’s room still remains as one of the happiest little jewel boxes in our home.

Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

Polly’s room remains my favourite one – so so precious!
Such a beautiful room for a little princess! Yes, the little green lamp is perfect on Polly’s dresser. I love everything about this room. Another winner!
I just LOVE all of the patterns – they work so well!
Such a fairytale room-like living in a children’s book. Very sweet. Wish you showed the other side too. 😉☺️
Gorgeous! That dresser and the art above it are perfect. Would you mind sharing the source (if they’re faux) of the purple flowers on the bedside table? Thank you!!
It really is just so dreamy!
Perfect for Polly! 😍
