Today, I finally found the strength to make the clock in the bathroom read the correct time. Once I saw this new clock (on the right) at Ikea for just $9.99, I knew it was just the motivation I needed. It is frosted glass tinted a sort of Seafoam. It’s square and it mimics the mosaic mirror, beautifully. So out went the old and in went the new. It is even set at the right time–until daylight savings at least.
Some other swapperoos happening around hur (read: here) have been between the living room and bedroom. After I finished my 5 birds on wire painting and HAD to hang it in the living room due to some seriously gorgeous formality happening in the frame, I felt like the throw pillows could use a little glamming up, as well.

The couch is still in serious need of a round pop of orange to break up all those squares and tie in the orangey bird, but I am still on the hunt for the perfect pillow for the job. Until then, the facelift has been well received. And where did the Marcum 11/8 painting go and all of those striped pillows? Easy. Bedroom. The plain, dark, super-sophisticated-not-really-us Before:

The pillows and painting work so much better in our bedroom, don’t you think? Although painting has stopped due to the good possibility of a move in our near future, all of the other changes and improvements are all things that we can take with us–so why the hay stop!?
