Today is a really exciting day for me and I hope for you, too! A couple months ago, Minted asked me to be one of their curators. It has really been a dream come true for me. As an art major in college, I really gained a high appreciation for a wide variety of art and artists and lately, I’ve honed my own creativity into my home. I love to fill our home with art and that’s what I have come to love about Minted. It’s filled to the brim with talented artists. You have to be selected to sell your art on the platform, which keeps the caliber of the art high. However, there’s still thousands of pieces to sort through when you’re trying to select a piece for your home.
That’s where I come in. I’ve been asked to curate my personal favorites, which will change seasonally, right here. (Or, you can find it anytime by visiting www.chrislovesjulia.minted.com.) There’s just less than 100 of my favorite prints and textiles that I would have in my home in a heartbeat!
The funny thing about launching my curator’s store today is it also coincides with an Instagram giveaway I had planned with Minted just last week. As soon as I hit 30K Instagram followers (which happened last night!), they offered to giveaway 30 (THIRTY!!!) 11×14 prints to 30 of our followers over there. And with giving away 30 prints in celebration of 30K followers, here are my top 30 prints I would choose if I could win them all! (Clicking on the image should bring you right to the print on Minted’s site).
What a way to kick off this week! Hope to see you over on Instagram for an easy entry to win a print of your choice. Which one would you pick?
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

We recently painted our study a dark, moody green color. This is after we first painted it a muddy green, then repainted it a blue-gray. I guess what they say is true; third time’s a charm! The journey was worth it, though, because I’m so in love with this glossy green in contrast with the […]

I love so many of your choices!
And I ended up buy First of October by Kelly Money, which is not on your list, but when looking at Gentle Tempest I was drawn to some of her other works. I got it framed too and can’t wait so see it!
That is such exciting news! Congratulations Julia! I have always loved your work :)

I’m so happy for you Julia! I was really hoping to see some of your work included in the collection. I’ve always been an avid lover of your art work and until recently, wasn’t ready to start purchasing art for our home. Do you ever do commissioned works? I would love to own an original some day!
You’re so nice! Thank you! Maybe one day. I am taking a break from my selling my own art right now (it became a chore, and I never want it to be a chore!) but I’ll let you know if I ever boot it back up.
I love the Sombras print, it’s simple and gorgeous. But that Hercules beetle keeps catching my eye too. I love the prints with blue and green tones, they make me feel calm. What an honor to be chosen. Good for you!
