Have you ever been to a favorite things party? I have to explain it so you can try it with your neighbors, friends, or family this Holiday season (or whenever you feel like it)! First, gather up a group, and have everybody bring two of their favorite thing (not two different favorite things, but two of the same favorite thing)! Decide what kind of price cap you want to put on it (like $15 or $35) so you don’t have too much of a price or value gap. One person starts by drawing two names from a hat (where everybody’s name is entered twice). They then introduce their favorite thing, why it’s their favorite, and gift it to the two people! You go around in a circle, and by the end, everybody has given their two favorite things and received two favorite things! It’s super fun and best paired with treats and drinks!
I wanted to share a bunch of my favorite things under $35 that I would bring to a favorite things party! Whether you are hosting or attending a favorite things party or just looking for a good gift for a friend or neighbor, I hope this list gives you some ideas!
I’m obsessed with my John Derian coffee table book, and this wrapping paper and gift tag book is something I use and reuse over and over again. The gift that keeps on giving!
You all know I’m a big fan of Olipop! This sampler pack is the perfect way to let all of your friends try them all and choose their fav!
I kid you not, this lip mask changed my life. My lips have never been more (dare I say) moist.
These are the perfect everyday sock. I can wear them to the gym, to work, date night… So comfy and cute.
These flameless candles are on my mantle, and I kid you not; they are lifelike. They even flicker!
This beaded ring is beyond darling. I wear it all the time, and it’s the perfect piece of jewelry to wear with everything.
I love a puzzle! 500-piece is the perfect amount because you can do it with a group or by yourself, and it feels just challenging enough but not overwhelming. This holiday one is darling and I already can’t wait to cozy up by the fire and put it together.
I’m a recent convert to Merit makeup, and I’m especially obsessed with this cream blush in the Cheeky color. It glides on super easily and is the perfect dusty, saturated pink.
I’ve tried almost every self-tanner on the market, and this Coco & Eve is my tried and true favorite! It’s moisturizing, smells good, is easy to apply, and is the perfect colorful tan. Check out my self-tanning routine for a quick tutorial!
If you don’t have a box cutter, it’s time to spend $16 and get one. I have multiple around the house for opening boxes, and I feel comfortable leaving them around the house because the blade is ceramic and doesn’t cut skin! Very kid-safe.
I love my Stanley Tumbler with the straw, but this is the new favorite that I bring to the gym with me. Love the top handle and the leak-safe spout!
My new favorite board game is so easy to play and good in any group!
This is a more recent favorite find of mine! It’s an acrylic book stand that I have propped up on my coffee table. You could also keep it in a kitchen for propping open a cookbook!
If you are still lighting candles the “old-fashioned” way, it’s time to upgrade to this electronic candle lighter. Would also make a great stocking stuffer!
I have this Aquis hair wrap, and it really does dry my hair so much faster. After I shower, I wrap my hair up in this and leave it in while I do my makeup. It keeps everything all tied up and out of the way, and by the time I take it out, blow-drying is a breeze because I’m already nearly there!
The Made by Mary Live-in Hoops are the only hoops you need! They’re dainty enough and comfy enough to sleep in!
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

We recently painted our study a dark, moody green color. This is after we first painted it a muddy green, then repainted it a blue-gray. I guess what they say is true; third time’s a charm! The journey was worth it, though, because I’m so in love with this glossy green in contrast with the […]

Yes! I have several of these items! The hues and cues game is one. This is a great list and helpful resource. Thank you!
Okay, okay, you’ve convinced me! Just bought the Hues and Cues game for our family. I try to find one game every year that we all can play together so I’m hoping we love it like you guys do!
So many new things!!
This is a great list! The Laneige lip mask is a classic. Love that mask. I have never tried Merit makeup, but I am intrigued and want to see if it’s worth the hype. Thanks for sharing!

I’m giving the box cutter to a few folks this year.
