Exciting news! Once again, we’re teaming up with Lowe’s to help one homeowner–anywhere in the country–transform a space in their home this spring. Last year, entries poured in from all 50 states and DC, too, and we ended up on Long Island, New York! It was a great experience, with an awesome before and after and now we’re looking for our next big before and after! (There’s a link to the entry form at the bottom of the post. Please note: we will only be accepting entries through tomorrow, so don’t delay!)
This time, Lowe’s would like us to help a homeowner transform and elevate a kitchen or bathroom in their home!! Keep in mind, we’ll be doing the makeover over a weekend, so while we won’t be able to completely gut your space, there’s a lot of cosmetic refreshes we can tackle in that time.
Especially considering our team we’re bringing with us. This year, Lowe’s asked us to assemble our own dream team of people to help us carry out our vision for the homeowner, and we couldn’t be more excited that Kim and Scott Vargo (yellowbrickhome.com) and Daniel Kanter (manhattan-nest.com), as well as Chris’s super handy brother, Brandon (it runs in the family), have agreed to fly in and help us whip your kitchen or bathroom into shape!
We hand-picked these bloggers not only because they are fun (!), but Kim, Scott, and Daniel also all have an excellent eye for design, are so detail-oriented in their work, and are the best of the best in the DIY world.

We designed the Charly line of sofas, chairs, and ottomans with perfect proportions for comfort — with wide arms, a loungey depth, and stylish and practical lumbar pillows. Available in 70 kid-friendly, pet-friendly fabrics, this line was created with families in mind.
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

Once upon a time, I fell in love with a coffee table. Money was a little tight, but we saved up the $1,085 to buy it because once I saw it — no other coffee table would do. It was my first furniture splurge, and I was so nervous and excited. When I arrived, it […]
