I’m back from a whirlwind trip to Miami with Lowe’s Home Improvement (more on that in a future post) just in time to launch our new shop page! For quite some time, I have been trying to think of the best way to make it easy for all of you to get the direct sources for (almost) everything in our home. I spend so much time answering those questions and while I truly don’t mind it, I thought–there must be a better way!
We thought about doing a complete source list page, but worried the words would be hard to find and feel busy or get lost on a page. Instead, we have spent the last few weeks developing a shop page showing images of rooms in our house, followed by pictures of products that make up that room which you can click on to purchase. It’s run by JavaScript (so if you are having trouble viewing it, make sure you have JavaScript enabled in your browser preferences).
While the shop isn’t all-inclusive, we’ve tried our best to include every shoppable item available and, in some cases, items that were one-of-a-kind or discontinued, we’ve tried to find similar options for you. We’re working to always add new items and update it as our home evolves. The Shop Our House page is easily accessible in the main menu of our blog now:
Once there, you can hover over a particular item to see where it’s from. Clicking on the item will bring you to the site it’s found on for purchase (in a new window).
We do make a small percentage commission on the items that sell with our affiliate partners, but more than anything we hope this is beneficial for you! An easy, visual, interactive way to find out where we got almost everything in our home. Check out updated photos of our home and Shop Our House! We’d love to hear any feedback as this is a brand new thing we’re still definitely ironing out.
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

Could you share where the light fixtures in the reading room are from?
I love that we can shop your house! How fun! Question regarding the LR rug. The link takes us to the “blue” Baxter but I thought you guys had the “Indigo”? Also, do you have ANY trouble vacuuming your rug with Charley girls fur? I am in the middle of the biggest rug hunt of my life and NEED real people with pets opinions!!!!! I also have a big dog and I LOVE the white morrocan rugs but there is NOWAY in hell I can have one in my living room! FYI you should do a dog post regarding design decisions!
You’re so right! We have the Indigo! I’m going to change that right now. Good catch. I vacuum every day. Charly sheds, she just does. So I’m used to vacuuming, but we particularly love this rug because 1.it looks new after each vacuum and 2. it shows Charly’s hair which was important to me so I could stay on top of it. It’s cushy and thick and we love the rug.
You guys are blogging geniuses! I LOVE idea. I love that you included the paint colors. I get so much house inspiration from both of you. We’re townhome renters for now, but I am dying to paint the wood paneling. it’s so ugly. It’s also great that you are affiliated with links. How else would I know about these things? Have a great day. I feel like this is the highlight of my day, at least at work it is.
Absolutely BRILLIANT idea! I know I am very guilty of falling in love with something someone has in their home that I see on their blog posts and I just need to know where they got it. Well, this is the perfect solution to that problem! No one will need to ask repeatedly where y’all bought this item or that item, as they can search it themselves now. Absolute genius idea. And it runs so smoothly too! Great job on it, and would love to see something like this implemented in other blogs similar to y’all’s as well!

Absolutely brilliant!
I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I couldn’t see the links to purchase the items. I’m running Firefox V43 and I have javascript enabled. I had to go through Safari to view links. Maybe just a fluke with my version…?
It’s a great idea and I absolutely love the idea! Paint colors would be a great addition.
Hmm. That’s an issue we’ll look into. I don’t think we did any tests with that version of Firefox. The good news is we think we have a paint colors addition figured out and we’ll be adding that today!
I bet this took forever but it’s such a wonderful idea! And it’s presented so well. I hope you guys had a great trip!
So cool! And what a great resource from your end too! I can only imagine how tiring it is to actually respond to every person in every blog or IG post that asks you where everything is from!! (I get tired just SEEING those questions!) :)
Hahaha, it’s fine. But it was kind of getting overwhelming because after so many comments, they stop showing up in my notifications and I didn’t want anyone to think I was ignoring them if I missed one. So I do hope this helps eliminate some of that!
This makes so much sense. It’s a natural way to integrate promoted products that you actually use without having to force it.
I think this is an awesome thing – it incorporates affiliate links with something actually very useful! I hope it’s easy to keep up to date, because it’s a great addition.
WOW! So much work for you guys but such a thoughtful thing to add for your readers. Thanks!
I love the way it looks! So professional, clean, oh, and perfect!
This is great! Thank you! One request, could you add paint colors too?
Great suggestion! Let me see if I can!
paint colors added!
