It was a wonderful holiday and we both added a few pounds to our frames with all the food with inhaled. In fact, the only time I broke out my actual camera, was to snap a photo of my favorite little holiday hor d’oeuvre I whipped up for Thanksgiving so I could share with all of you. Here’s how the appetizer stacks up:
Maybe the only reason I call these “holiday” stackers is because we always have them around this time of year but they will, undoubtedly, make another appearance at Christmas. And now that I have shared the “recipe” (cut and stack–my kind of recipe), maybe they’ll make their holiday debut at your house too?
How was your holiday? As much fun as we had, it’s true what they say–there’s no place like home.
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

A reader recently asked me if I’m starting to fully embrace traditional style and whether we still consider our house to be a “modern Colonial” and why. It was a really great question and so timely — I had really just been thinking about my approach to this home and how my style has changed […]

These are genius! I might just start making them for dinner too!
How do you feel about shrimp? Sometimes that explosion makes me gag a little, sometimes I can take it.
Hahahaha. Yes!
We did! Hope you did, too!
Air five!
That sounds delicious and sophisticated!!
Those look yummy! I am heading to a holiday party this weekend and think these may be the thing I bring – simple, not sweet, and filling. I’ve made a similar version with prosciutto, a variety of olives, salami, and mozzarella. It’s like a bite-size antipasto platter!
Ooooh, yum! I have to bring something to a potluck on Thursday and yes, this is my kind of recipe too!
Hahaha! Love the Instagram photos! Looks like you guys had an amazing holiday!
You. Are. Gorgeous. Hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving!
Looks like you had a great Thanksgiving! And, those stackers are a genius idea! As in I’m seriously looking for other things to put on a stick to call an appetizer. :)
Adding those to my holiday food list!!!! Not only are they adorable, but that combo makes my heart leap. I could do without the grape tomatoes though…I’m weird I know. But I haaaate the explosion those tomatoes make!!!
