About these abstract flats:
My mission has always been to bring original, affordable fine art to homes. I think it is important to have something on your walls that is just for you. That’s one-of-a-kind. That has real paint on it. Art can (and will) not only change the way a room feels, but the way you feel about a room. That’s why I added a new section to our Etsy shop last year–in an effort to bring fine art to as many homes as possible–16×20 original paintings on unstretched canvases.
These paintings, although smaller than my 24x30s or 24x36s that you are accustom to seeing in the gallery, will still provide your space with a pop of interest–at a fraction of the cost. The 16×20 flats are ready to be framed when they arrive at your home (or business!). And speaking of shipping, the canvas flats also cut down on shipping fees because they can easily be rolled up and shipped in a sturdy tube. Win!

Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

A reader recently asked me if I’m starting to fully embrace traditional style and whether we still consider our house to be a “modern Colonial” and why. It was a really great question and so timely — I had really just been thinking about my approach to this home and how my style has changed […]

Love them! I was looking at the freaking HUGE painting dementions and WOW that painting is huuuuuge. It would look incredible in any big vaulted ceiling room.
Ohh man. We just bought a new car so my dreams of buying pretty things for the house are on hold. Oh how I would love the navy, chartruse, green, gray painting for my LR!!! Maybe after I finish grad school and get a job :(
