The ottomans got a makeover.
And Chris cleaned out the whole garage and both cars.
And I finally got all of our clothes hung and Greta’s temporary room in order.
And then Greta started joining us at the table for meals.
Eating her first hot dog with ketchup
And then our friends came over for spaghetti and meatballs.
And Chris’s djembe found its home and was played frequently.
And we hung some familiar curtains.
and some familiar art.
And Chris made some more amazing food.
Marinated and grilled (to pefection) chicken tacos with cabbage slaw
And we were a happy family.  The whole weekend.

  1. FUN!!!!

    Ottoman’s look fab, of course.

The art work?? love it in that space.

the DINNER??? ummmm can you come prepared ready to serve that while you’re here???

Oh, and I think we should have a home sweep together of what we can fix as in…I want Julia to redecorate my house. STAT.

  2. Andi-

Ah yes. I didn’t mention that we reupholstered those ottomans TWICE because that wouldn’t have fit in with our otherwise perfect weekend. They were a great mustard first, but it clashed with our almost yellow-ish armchairs so we un-did ALL of that, and used a couple curtain panels that we had on hand (the dark charcoal gray side of the ones hanging) to reupholster them AGAIN! I’m glad we did. I like them a lot better.

  3. I usually think that Greta looks more like Chris, but she totally looks like you in that picture! What a cutie. :)
