Most of the blogs I follow are people I actually know. The one MAJOR exception is these guys. They are all about DIYing and really chic, simple and clean looking decor. I am not a crafty person, per se–I leave that up to my sister, Krissy. I have always stuck to a canvas and gettin’ my art on in that way. But after I saw this idea for a seriously cool pumpkin over on YoungHouseLove, I had to have it for my decor. From start to finish, it only took about 30 minutes, not including drying time.
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

A reader recently asked me if I’m starting to fully embrace traditional style and whether we still consider our house to be a “modern Colonial” and why. It was a really great question and so timely — I had really just been thinking about my approach to this home and how my style has changed […]

I love it! I totally want to do one, but I think it may be a little late to start a Halloween project…. :)
Meagan,
That is how I saw it done, too!! But, I already had white puffy paint from Chris’s costume (stay tuned) and I had very limited time to do this project because Greta’s naps aren’t everlasting like they used to be. I knew the spray paint would dry faster than the puffy paint so I just opted to do it the other way, so I would be all done by the time she woke up and all it would have to do is dry.
p.s. Chris has been putting in extra long hours. Last night, he got home at 9. I wish my mom was upstairs. Heck, I wish I HAD an upstairs. Haha. Have fun!
So awesome! I’ve seen that too! I’ve seen it where she does the puff paint first so you don’t have to worry about getting the ‘right’ color and theeeeen you spray paint it. It looks SO glam and SO Julia. Love love.
It’s a perfect center piece! O you’ll laugh at this. I woke up around 7:15am to Ryan getting dressed and I got sad because he was leaving until 6:30pm tonight. And then I shot right up in bed because I remembered that my mom is upstairs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha I seriously got butterflies I was so excited to hang out :-)
Love you guys
