I thought for sure today was the day when I would finally be able to have the picture in my home (specifically, the master bedroom) that I have wanted for so long.  But now, I am not so certain.  I am feeling defeated and tired and frustrated.  I am second-guessing my artistic abilities--it has been SO long since I have tackled oil paints--and I am thiiiiiiissss close to giving up.  Would it be worth it to just wait until I have a wall large enough to house the real thing?  Am I going to see every error when I wake up in the morning?  Both maybes.  But I am at the point, where I can stop and forfeit and find something else to put above our bed, or continue painting--giving it my all--and finish it and hope for the best.  Crossing my fingers (and toes) that the latter pays off.

  1. You're kidding right?? You would just give up when it looks THAT amazing???? In my head I thought (you're kidding...that IS the real thing). I think you just need to believe in yourself and keep working on it! It may take more than a few days to get done. Preeeetty sure it is going to look PERFECT in your room.

  3. Sooo..I just looked for about 45 minutes to find this post! LOL! Needless to say I've now seen a whole YEARS worth of you post in one day! Yay!
    Ok, So here is my question! Did you finish this? Is this the one in your living room now? Or did you buy that one?
    I so wanna know!
    And this looks amazing! If you didn't end up using this one can I have it!? LOL

  4. Aww...I am flattered that you spent so much time finding this post. Next time, feel free to shoot me an email and I would be happy to help you find a specific post or answer a question. What you see here is about as far as I got on this painting and I have since painted over it. The one we have in our living room is a lot larger and much more spectacular and we bought it.
