After our announcement Monday that we’ll be selling our home and moving, we have been busy getting it prepped for listing this upcoming Monday. Fortunately, we have no major projects on our list, but hundreds of little projects. Paint touch ups, deep cleaning, de cluttering! The only room that we wanted to put a little extra effort into was our home office. It’s actually the 5th bedroom of our home and although lots of people love home offices, we actually have a small den upstairs (the dark green room with shelves–you know the one) and were only utilizing this space as an office because it was a little more private. So we felt the best move was to disassemble our built in desk and stage another bedroom in here.
We didn’t want to spend a lot of money, so I mostly used things we already had plus a few special pieces from Drew Barrymore’s new Flower Home Collection at Walmart. It’s really stylish and boho and affordable! Plus, as always, there’s free shipping on orders over $35!
The line is full of decor, bed and bath, some really cute pet beds and bowls, wall art, lighting! Here are a few favorites from the line. Drew! You killed it.
1. Asymmetrical Mirror $79
2. 86″ Velvet Track Arm Sofa $899
3. Rattan Arch Floor Lamp $120
4. Euro Shams $18
5. Vase $22
6. Velvet Tassel Pillow (lots more colors!) $34
7. Rattan Pendant $72
8. Leaner Mirror $199
9. 3 piece Glass Bath Accessories $24
I ordered 1, 6 , and 7 for this space (although the mirror got delayed after I included it in this post), along with some fresh beige diamond patterned sheets (so cute and ridiculously affordable), a faux marble side table and a bedside task lamp. Everything else we had on hand.
The velvet tassel pillow is super soft and the perfect size at 20×20. The feather filling gives it a weight that feels a lot more expensive than $34.
Basket lighting is a big trend right now and it’s difficult to find anything under $200, so I was shocked to see this Rattan pendant come in at $72! It adds such a beautiful, warm texture to the room–I kind of wish it existed a few months ago so we could enjoy it in our office space!
All in all, we put the room together in under 2 hours and under $2oo. Worth it to show a 5th bedroom, for sure. The only regret I have about the staging–why in the world didn’t I think to stage a boy’s room!! Haha, I guess I have girls on the mind always (but here’s a fun boy/gender neutral mood board I shared a couple weeks ago!)

P.S. Thank you for your patience this week as we bustle around!
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

The next project we’re checking off our 2023 project list is the mudroom! This used to be the laundry room until we built out a much bigger, better laundry room upstairs. So, in the meantime, this space has been exclusively Cricket’s room. Cricket will still have a special space here, but we’re transforming this dingy […]

Hi! Am I imagining things or did you not shorten the cord to the pendant light, and if you did, is there a tutorial on how to do that? Maybe I saw that on Instagram? Thank you!
Can’t wait to see how fast it sells!
Everytime I see this room, I am reminded how much I love the moulding details. I definitely want to some in our new home. I am also saving that basket light for later!
But WHERE is the cloud art from!!!! ????????????
I’m dying to know the source of that cloud print. I didn’t see a link for it.
It’s from Artfully Walls!
Love this transition! It looks very gender neutral to me. Good for a kid or an extra guest room. I love the cloud print. I’m thinking of using it for inspiration for our bedroom. (To go dark, or light! I can’t decide!)
Where is the picture from. So cool. Love your style.

Can you share where the cloud artwork is from? Thank you!

Perfection for under $200! Love it!
What did you do with the closet? If I remember correctly it didn’t have doors on it anymore.
We just put the doors back on! We still had them.
This looks quite gender neutral to me. It’s sophisticated and makes me think of a guest room rather than a girl’s room. Good luck with the sale! Your home is beautiful! Can’t wait to see the new one!
