Years ago, I accepted that I’m not a “real plant” kind of girl, and I’m happy with that life. Sure, sometimes I get a bit of plant envy when I see other people with thriving houseplants, but it’s not my specialty nor my passion. Plus, I love shuffling around my favorite faux trees from room to room, and you don’t get that kind of luxury with live plants! I love that I can prop this lovely new faux tree in this sunny corner without ever worrying about if it’s getting too much light or not enough water. And luckily, faux plants look more realistic than ever before! In other words, this is not your grandmother’s faux tree.
I will say that this is the planter I have, but for the scale of the tree, I think I need a much bigger size. Some people have strong feelings about faux plants, and although I would love to be a “real plant” girl, I’m just not ready for that type of commitment. Plus, then, I wouldn’t have the freedom to brighten up a dark corner with a “lively” looking plant!
Maple Tree | Bench | Rug
We have had this faux maple tree forever, and it just keeps floating around from room to room, which is something I could never do with a live plant. It used to be in our last bedroom, and now it’s in our current bedroom. It’s also interesting how tree trends change. I’m noticing that it used to be all about fiddle leaves, and now people are gravitating more toward smaller, greener leaves. I realize how ridiculous that sounds. Get whatever tree you like the most! I will say that I try to get faux trees that match the aesthetic and style of my home; oaks, maples, olives…
And artificial trees come in every price range! We found this double take (on the left) of the olive tree on the right, and they’re both great options. Speaking of options, here are 16 faux trees that are a great way to freshen your home for spring, and keep scrolling to see the height of each one.

Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

Please do a roundup of planters/pots. I love that big round planter you have the olive tree in. Would love to know where you found that one!!
Where is that amazing giant white round planter that you have your olive tree in from??
The Studio McGee one is on sale in my area if you buy online!!
I love this roundup! Between my little boys who love to play in dirt or moss and the dog as well, faux is our only option for this season of life! When do you decide to go for a planter vs large woven basket? Perhaps that is too broad a question?
