I’m not typically a smoothie guy. I prefer to eat my calories rather than drink them, but not with this mango smoothie. I was wanting something a bit sweeter, a bit tangier, so I whipped up this mango, citrus & coconut smoothie to curb the craving!

There’s also just a hint of ginger, but it’s so so subtle. Maybe add more if you’re into that! Mango is one of those flavors that that’s so yummy, but not overpowering and the citrus and coconut give it a nice fresh twist. Honestly, this would be great as a breakfast smoothie, because it’s not overly sweet which is my personal preference. Give it a try and tell me what you think!

Mango, Citrus & Coconut Smoothie

Mango smoothies kinda all taste the same. But with a fruit that goes so well with so many things, I wanted to make something as fresh as you'd expect from mango, but also a little new.
Course: Breakfast, Dessert, Drinks, Lunch
Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • 4 cups frozen mango one 16oz bag
  • 1 cup frozen banana
  • 1 orange cara cara preferred - peeled
  • 1 lime zested, and juiced
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 1/2 cups coconut water
  • 1/2 tsp fresh grated ginger optional but encouraged

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender, orange first (it blends better if the unfrozen ingredients are in the bottom). Blend until smooth and serve in your favorite smoothie cup.

Finally got a chance to make this today, and it’s so delicious! I completely forgot about the ginger, dang it! Good thing I have enough ingredients to make it again. Yum!

I have that same blender and wonder what setting you use to blend your smoothies? Thank you!

I literally made this within an hour of seeing the recipe. My husband was at the store and I had him pick up the ingredients. Best smoothie I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a ton of smoothies)! So glad you shared this one!

This looks so refreshing! Canned coconut milk or the 1/2 gallon coconut “milk”?
