If you’re heading into the long weekend without any plans of skipping town, we compiled a list of home projects you could accomplish during your time off. Of course, you could relish in the downtime or soak up some sunshine before summer ends, but if you’re itching to get something done around the house, then we’ve got you. Personally, I like to do both!

1. Update Your Flooring
Floorpops | Roller Tool | Tape Measure
Good news!–Our Floorpops are back in stock, and they take no time at all to install. If you’ve got an outdated bathroom, laundry room, or kitchen that could use some TLC, this is the perfect solution.
2. DIY faux tree

Sofa | Rug | Ottoman | Flush Mount | Bowl | Chair | Floor Lamp
I was so blown away when Brooke DIY’d her own faux tree for a fraction of the cost. So simple and stunning!
3. Stain an unfinished piece of furniture

Staining unfinished wood furniture is a great middle-of-the-road place to be if you’re looking to stretch your budget and customize your furniture. It’s like having a semi-handmade piece in your home!

We almost did- we used the long weekend to paint an old cabinet rather than stain it which became a super messy job when our toddler got involved. We then swapped out the handles for something a bit more unique (bit of a cheat since we used the ones we make/sell …but they worked so well!)
Julia and team, would you be up for sharing your design process, inspiration, layout considerations, etc. for the master bathroom? I know you have the mudroom coming up but I’d love to hear your process as you go through it, not as it’s all decided and ordered already. Is that a possibility? I love to learn about your process and considerations and the end result is always amazing!
