When we started designing the CLJ office for our team, I really wanted it to feel like a more modern extension of the Chris Loves Julia style. Since it’s a workspace in a commercial building, we embraced the more commercial, modern design style — but of course, I’ve been adding my personal touch. It’s been less than a month since we moved in with our team, and we’re all on cloud nine being in this newly renovated space. We’re still not finished furnishing and decorating, but we recently made it feel a lot more like home by hanging some stunning framed photos.
I really wanted to fill the walls with Chris Loves Julia memories and milestones, and Artifact Uprising was the only shop we even considered. A few years ago, we gifted Chris’s parents a big family photo that we ordered through Artifact Uprising, and they printed AND framed it for us; it was the easiest gift ever. So when it came to furnishing the office, I knew they would be perfect to use because I wanted to do a whole gallery hallway and more.
In our office, we have a hallway that opens up to our conference room, the team room, a smaller private office, and a utility closet. There are two walls along that hall where we hung galleries of CLJ house history–some of our proudest portfolio photo moments. Artifact made the whole process so easy, from selecting the frames, customizing the mat sizes, and uploading the photos, to unboxing and hanging.
Shopping for the frames was a breeze because I trust that every style is premium quality and will match the modern aesthetic of the office. I ultimately decided to use the black Modern Metal Frames in 16×20″ with a 10×10″ mat reveal to feel more like an art gallery. Once you upload all your photos, you can customize the mat.
Their premium prints turned out beautifully, of course, and my favorite part is that everything came ready to hang! Of course, Chris worked his magic and hung these bad boys in no time, and the office space feels immediately elevated, yet more like home.
We love looking over from our desks and glancing at this gallery of moments that define our company and our team. There’s no quicker way to personalize a space than by displaying framed photos or art. And the same thing applies to frame photos around your home too! I think a gallery hallway of memorable family moments always feels intimate, and it’s a surefire way to refresh and elevate your home this spring.
We repeated another gallery wall in the same hallway, and I love glancing down and seeing all of the converging geometric shapes and lines from the frames. We’re calling it our little hall of fame :)
The best view is from standing in our conference room and seeing the beautiful frames through the glass.
Attached to the kitchenette, we have a “break room,” where we will take our lunch breaks once the banquette arrives. I wanted to feature some more casual team moments in the Modern Metal Frames in Brass.
I love how the touch of gold ties in so beautifully with the wallpaper and that we get to look back on some of these special moments every day.
We’re still finishing up the office space, and we can’t wait to show you more, but now that our walls are dressed in Artifact Uprising’s beautiful metal frames, it’s feeling more personalized and finished. But more than that, it feels like an extension of us and a reminder of what we are all about at CLJ.
Artifact Uprising is offering 15% off to our CLJ followers with code: JULIA15 so that you can freshen up and personalize your spaces with their timeless frames. Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

The next project we’re checking off our 2023 project list is the mudroom! This used to be the laundry room until we built out a much bigger, better laundry room upstairs. So, in the meantime, this space has been exclusively Cricket’s room. Cricket will still have a special space here, but we’re transforming this dingy […]

Comment avez vous accrocher les cadres s’il vous plait , Avec un clou ou avec de l’adhésif ?
Merci. Belle journée
I know you used Framebridge in the past for gallery walls–is artifact uprising better or just different?
I was wondering the same thing!
I love that you chose from so many of your past houses too. I spy the black kitchen, which I loved! With so many great spaces and photography it must have been hard to choose! The green shower and WC? and OMG your last dream bathroom, holy moly… what a great idea for this space!
Love it! Need a gallery wall in my house!
Just used the discount code to order our wedding album! Thank you!
