My love language is gift-giving, and I’m always curating little boxes for my out-of-town girlfriends, my sisters, and other family members. I pride myself on finding just-the-right-thing to send out for birthdays, housewarmings, new babies, new jobs…
I recently discovered Spoonful of Comfort, and I’ve met my match! Their gift boxes are the cutest curations! I only wish I had discovered them sooner! We moved to Raleigh from Idaho almost three years ago, and I left behind a tightly knit group of girlfriends. Immediately, I went to Spoonful of Comfort, scheming to send them all “Galentine’s Day” boxes. I squealed when I saw the “Sweet Sips Valentine Package for Two.” It includes:
I’m sending these to all of my girlfriends, with a little note about sharing a virtual hot chocolate. And! Use code CLJGIFT for a free two-hearts necklace included in ANY Valentine box. (I’m wearing it in the photo above. It is a limited gift, while supplies last, and there are fuzzy Valentine’s Day socks if you miss out on the necklace.) These boxes would be so cute to send to your mom or your sister — or even your long-distance sweetie. (I’ve also got my eye on the Choco-Lot of Love Package).
Spoonful of Comfort is known for their soups. I ordered the “Ultimate New Parent Package” for my sister, Andi, who just had a baby. I had it shipped to myself first, so that I could see how it comes (and so I could confidently recommend it to you). I was blown away! In addition to delicious soups — dinner is a MUST for new moms — and a gorgeous ladle, there are rolls and cookies and the most darling baby gifts! The color palette ALONE! I’m taking this box over to my sister’s house today and sending another to a friend of mine who is due any day now.
I also ordered a housewarming gift for my parents, who just moved to North Carolina. Again, I had this box shipped to myself so I could see what my friends and family were getting. I ordered the “Comfort by the Slice Pie Package” because my dad loves pie. (He’s already called me for a rec on the best bakery in town.) This darling box comes with the most elegant pie server and all the fixin’s to make either an apple or a mixed berry pie. I love that this box comes with the ingredients and instructions, instead of a ready-made pie, because I know that there’s something really comforting about baking in a new house. I can hardly wait to smell the apple pie wafting through my parents’ home.
Spoonful of Comfort has gift boxes for every occasion — from college graduation to the loss of a pet. I’ve already set up calendar reminders for all of the birthdays in my calendar, and I love that there’s an option for custom boxes. (I also love that there’s a gluten-free box.) I truly feel like I’ve found a personal concierge to gift-giving. I couldn’t feel happier — or more generous :)
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

A reader recently asked me if I’m starting to fully embrace traditional style and whether we still consider our house to be a “modern Colonial” and why. It was a really great question and so timely — I had really just been thinking about my approach to this home and how my style has changed […]

I ordered a gift box for my daughter in Milwaukee. Stuck in the house with a 6 month old during the dreary wintery month of February deserves a spoonful of comfort! Thanks for the clj gift code! Always a fan following. Cat
This is a great company and service. Have used them many times for family and friends going through cancer treatments, Covid, birthday celebrations, etc.
