Planters | Faux Boxwood Topiary | Metal Lanterns | Pillar Candles
You will never regret buying substantial outdoor planters, end of discussion. Our front steps have these concrete planters, and I love having that touch of modern as the first impression of our home. They also compliment the faux topiaries that I am so obsessed with.
I have long envisioned having a collection of large outdoor planters in our backyard with edible plants. We are not much of the gardening type, but a few tomatoes, peppers, and herbs are something I think we can handle. I also envision incorporating some additional accent planters throughout the backyard, specifically near the newly painted utility door. I just love a mix of in-ground and potted plants in outdoor living spaces.

Chris already got a jump start on the edible plants in our backyard planters! Watch out; the CLJ garden is coming in full swing with even more baby plants. 😉
While we have a spot over by the in ground trampoline for a garden if we wish someday, it’s not at the top of our to do list right now. But planting a few vegetables and herbs in large pots is both beautiful and functional and making us weirdly happy.
From left to right we have:
1 – Lime Tree
2 – Basil, Opal Basil, Thai Basil, Sage, Red Bell Peppers, Chives
3 – Cherry Tomatoes
4 – Thyme, Chives, Tarragon, Parsley, Dill
5 – Meyer Lemon Tree
Most of these pots came with us but I recently added two more l. I also rounded up some of my favorite planters at every price point and a variety of sizes; however, I think bigger is always better in terms of planter size. There I said it. Outside the sky is literally the limit so larger scale planters will always work in your favor.

Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

We recently painted our study a dark, moody green color. This is after we first painted it a muddy green, then repainted it a blue-gray. I guess what they say is true; third time’s a charm! The journey was worth it, though, because I’m so in love with this glossy green in contrast with the […]

Bigger isn’t always better if you have a small bungalow and a tiny patio. Scale still matters, even outside
