We heard you loud and clear and are happy to announce that 3 rugs from our Jules Loloi rugs collection are now available in the 10×14 size! The Jules line is the most budget friendly line out of our 3 collections and up until now, the only one that didn’t have a 10×14 available. We saw and heard the demand and the new size is available in several popular rugs from the Jules line–Natural/Ocean, Lagoon/Brick (the rug we previously had in the living room), and Terracotta/Multi (with more coming!). We ordered the Natural/Ocean in the newest BIGGEST 10×14 size to show it off in our living room and, well, if you give a Julia a rug, she might just want to rearrange the entire living room.
And so we did!
With just weeks left in this house, I really gave myself permission to have some fun with it. We bought absolutely nothing new (except the rug, of course) and just started moving things around. The moment we rolled out the new rug I was immediately inspired by the gorgeous light color palette, that felt perfect for summer! The larger rug allowed us to go wider with our furniture placement and it opened up so many options! We moved the blue sofa out from in front of the window which has allowed us to enjoy summer in full bloom and move about the space so easily.
The tan sofa got moved out, and the music room swivel chairs moved in, facing each other on either side of the room. This symmetry brings a fun balance and we have been sitting in them even more! The cream buclé is so refreshing and I love seeing the sunlight bounce off of it. Seems like a dreamy place to read a book.
The Natural/Ocean Jules rug has a creamy oatmeal base with warm blue, charcoal and terra cotta/salmon accents. It’s a wonderfully neutral rug!
You might recognize the ottoman from our primary closet and I think the warm brown leather brings out the rust color in the rug so nicely.
The sofa table still lives behind the blue sofa to create some depth and is housing stacks of coffee table books, and of course, some gorgeous dried hydrangeas. Peek the little ottoman cubes underneath for some extra seating.
This rearrange was so fun, and I’m loving this size of rug in this space. Be sure to check out our guide on what size of rug to get, for visuals on rug sizes in a bedroom, living room, and dining room. (Bigger is generally better, IMO)
I think the unintentional lesson learned is that a rug can change everything. In other words, if you’re ready to switch things up in your life, than a new rug might be the perfect place to start.

Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

A reader recently asked me if I’m starting to fully embrace traditional style and whether we still consider our house to be a “modern Colonial” and why. It was a really great question and so timely — I had really just been thinking about my approach to this home and how my style has changed […]

It looks like you have two different trees in this room. Yes? No? I just love them and would love to know the source from the one you didn’t list. Love your ideas and work…thanks for being so creative and sharing that talent with others
It is currently sold out but it is from here!
Thank you for taking the time to reply!
Do you have floor outlets under the furniture/rug for the lamps? We’re in the process of buying a mid-70s split level with some lighting challenges.
We do!
Where did the ladder come from? Love the rug!
I found it at a local antique shop!
Love the bigger rug sizes! Can you share the link(s) fir some lower priced versions of your boucle chairs again? Thanks!
Here they are!
I ordered the Jules 10×14 in Natural/Ocean and am waiting for her to arrive. To say I am excited to see her in real life is an understatement. The current rug situation is sad, to say the least, and I can’t wait for the refresh!
Can’t wait to see pics of your space!!
I love this look! I’m a symmetry fan, plus the mixture of textures between the couch, ottoman, and chairs is lovely!
So beautiful! I have just moved to the UK from the US and really wanted to get one of your rugs, do you know if they ship internationally?
Unfortunately just to the US and Canada right now!
