Idaho summers are short-lived, but I think it’s because mankind isn’t meant to experience so much bliss in great quantities. Our minds would explode. All that to say, when the weather here warms up, you gotta jump right to enjoying it because fall and winter are racing toward us and you never really know which one will show up first. So let’s do some s’mores!

I love all the combinations that people are doing with s’mores now. Obviously the classic will always be relevant, but today I wanted to share some of my favorite combinations I’ve been playing with so far this year. They’re super yummy.

I know there are some purists out there that will scream, “That’s not a s’more!” Boo, says I. If the original were always best, we’d all be driving around 3-wheeled Patent Motor Cars. So stock up on a variety of cookies, crackers, marshmallows and chocolates. Find your favorite combo, and I’d love to hear about it!

Love the combos! If you’re interested, you should check out Tuck-ins Inside out S’mores n sticks- they come in different flavors and are extremely portable and non-messy. (Www.tuck-ins.com)

  2. Aishwarya says:

Sounds really delicious!!! I would love to try all of them and enjoy it with my friends.

  3. Rebecca says:

I can’t wait to try these! We have tired smores with Keebler’s Coconut Dream cookies instead of Graham Crackers. So good!

  4. Sabrina says:

I didn’t realize there were so many s’more combos! Could you please tell us where all of the different cookies are from so we can try some of these this summer?

  5. Annie Aldridge says:

Another one of our favorites is marshmallow with Carmel delight Girl Scout cookies!!

  6. Susan says:

Ritz + marshmallow + PB cup!! my favorite the last couple years! Never though of some of these will have to try.

  7. J Line says:

We too just got a firepit this year, and have been trying out different s’mores combos. One favourite is ritz crackers, aero bar (the bubbles make for a quicker melt) and a marshmallow. Salty and sweet!

  8. Sydney85 says:

These combinations look great and look forward to trying some new combinations. We like using Stroopwafels with melted marshmallows.

  9. Rebekah withey says:

You missed the best one! Graham crackers, lemons curd and a toasted marshmallow. Tastes like a lemon meringue pie. Go try it now. You don’t even have to thank me later ????

  10. Jeannine Foss says:

We love s’mores, too. One of my favorites is making them with those flat thin pretzels and a chocolate covered caramel and a marshmallow. Its like a s’mores version of a “Take 5” bar. We’ve never tried making them with waffle cookies or mint chocolate, will try asap.

  11. Emily says:

Sooo a combo you need to try. Graham crackers-mallow-fresh raspberries-Nutella! Mind. Blowing. Good.

  12. Katie says:

Try adding fresh raspberries to a classic s’more! It’s my entire family’s favorite way to eat them.

  13. Jodie says:

These pictures are gorgeous! And I’ve never heard a more perfect description of Idaho seasons than in that first paragraph. Can’t wait to try some of these combos out.

Have you guys watched Restaurants on the Edge on Netflix? Between Chris’s culinary background and Julia’s interior design know-how, it seems like a show you would enjoy where the two worlds collide!

  14. Angela says:

I’m a little upset I didn’t think of the Reece one!

  15. Anna says:

My favorite (because I’m Celiac and GF) is to cut a rice crispy treat in half and then put the toasted marshmallow with melted chocolate. The marshmallow in the rice crispy treat gets melty and gooey too! ????

  16. Courtney says:

As an avid S’more lover, I did this a few years ago, and tried most of the above combos. But let me tell you that the BEST s’more is= Waffle cookie + Nutella + Marshmallow. You’re welcome!

  17. Jessica says:

Yum!! Does Julia have a dairy-free option that she likes? I’d be interested in hearing about it, if so!

    • Julia says:

I try to stay away from processed sugar, but nothing can keep me away from sitting around the fire while everyone else enjoys!

      • Erin says:

Sister! Please end this needless suffering and make these marshmallows immediately:

Sugar and dairy-free, everything in them is good for your body and OMG, your last picture! Thanks for the gooey, yummy inspiration. Also gonna try some of those Smashmallows-ever tried those? The strawberry would be good with the waffle cookies and white chocolate.

  18. Michelle says:

Nutella s’mores are the go to when we camp!

  19. Colleen N says:

These sound delicious! We love Lu Le Petit Ecolier Dark Chocolate cookies + fresh raspberries + Roasted marshmallow. Or graham crackers + salted dark chocolate + fresh raspberries + roasted marshmallows.

  20. Kristy says:

My all-time fave conbo is a cinnamon graham plus a Hershey’s Symphony bar with almonds and toffee bits. It’s so delicious, and definitely worth a try!

  21. Julie B says:

I love pizzelle cookies with Ghirardelli dark chocolate mint and burned marshmallow. Even better to make two and use them to sandwich a scoop of homemade strawberry ice cream!!

  22. Ericka says:

Looove the ones with Reese’s peanut butter cups!

  23. Dede says:

Hi! You should try toasted marshmallow between the two layers of an Oreo cookie!

  24. Ashley says:

Ritz crackers (or gluten free equivalent), nutella, and roasted marshmallow. Perfectly salty and sweet, and you don’t have to worry about your chocolate not melting enough.

  25. Jo says:

Love this post. Such a great idea and fun to try with adults and kids alike! I also fall in the camp of never really loving the original. Thanks for the great combos to try.

  26. Kate says:

Wow–those are some amazing combos! Thanks for the inspiration, Chris! Happy Father’s Day!

  27. Jill says:

This post should really break the internet. That last picture! Omg.

Just so u know Chris and Julia (and I’ll bet u already do know ;)) u can hv s’mores in winter over the fireplace fire or over your stove top. Eat that, Summer. Hahaha!

    Thank u for this!!

  28. Renee says:

Try lemon curd with marshmallows sometime…it tastes like a lemon meringue pie!

  29. Jessica says:

I saw someone the other day put the chocolate into the marshmallow before roasting and thought that was genius!

  30. Jamie Keller says:

Yumm!! I have definitely done the fudge stripes before. We just discovered the Reese’s this summer and it has been LIFE CHANGING! Reese’s makes “thin” peanut butter cups that are perfect for s’mores!

  31. Barbie says:

You have to try it with crackers.

  32. Barbie says:

You have to try it with crackers. ????????????

  33. Tanya says:

My favorite combo is gluten free graham cookie (or regular graham cracker), Nutella, peppermint patty, marshmallow.

  34. Sarah says:

I make my own marshmallows for s’mores! Pink champagne, chocolate, buttered popcorn, mint and even plain vanilla tastes better home made! Also Ghirardelli chocolate with Carmel makes the best chocolate for the s’mores!

  35. Jenice says:

My favorite is the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, however, sometimes I skip the chocolate altogether and add lemon curd! Tastes like a lemon meringue pie! Sometimes we use raspberry jam to, delicious!

  36. Regina says:

Ritz! Ritz! Ritz! With a Reese cup and marshmallow!!!

  37. Emily says:

You missed the best one, saltines!! Love all these combos though, can’t wait to try!

  38. Patricia says:

    YUM!

  39. Brenda says:

Fantastic combinations!!! Yum! I’ve experimented with different chocolates and homemade marshmallows, but I’ve never thought of using waffle cookies!
