I can’t explain to you how excited I am for this giveaway. As I mentioned in my post about Kitchen stuff I don’t want to be without, Wüsthof is my favorite knife manufacturer. The balance of the blades, the shape of the handle, and the quality of the steel–Wüsthof has it mastered. And I refer to their Classic IKON line as the “Rolls-Royce of cook’s knives”. That’s why I was so jazzed when our friends over at Wüsthof hooked us up with a giveaway for all of you.
Just in time for the holidays, we’re gonna hook one lucky reader up with the Wüsthof Classic IKON 2-Piece Carving Set. Check it.
Just imagine carving your Thanksgiving turkey, table side, wielding these gorgeous knives. It almost brings a tear to my eye on your behalf! But in case you’re forgoing the turkey this year and don’t see a lot of opportunity to carve, here are some other ways to use this carving knife:
• the design and razor-sharp edge works great for sushi
• a knife like this slices through tomatoes and other potentially soft foods with incredible ease
• think all meat–roasts, steaks, fish filets and chicken, etc.
So here’s the deal: One winner will receive the carving set featured above (a $275 value!). Enter the giveaway using the Rafflecopter widget below. Easy peasy, so get as many entries as you can to up your chances. Contest ends this Thursday night (Oct. 24th) and the winner will be announced Friday. Good luck, e’rbody!
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

i have a set of knives i got for my wedding 12 years ago. this week i broke three of them. sad week. these look amazing!
How do you sharpen your knives? We have some Cutco ones that I can mail in to be sharpened by the manufacturer, but I don’t know what to do with our Wusthof ones. thanks!
Hi LJ! I actually use a whetstone to sharpen my knives, and it brings them right back to factory quality. I’m actually working on a few posts about proper knife care, including sharpening, which I’ll be posting next month. Keep your eyes peeled, it sounds like they’ll be of interest to you as it seems you’ve invested in some exceptional cutlery.
Ooh yes, I am excited for that post, too!
