Have you heard about Instagram’s new IGTV platform? We have never gotten super into YouTube, although we have been uploading all of our videos there for years, but our community has never been super active on that platform. When Instagram announced that they were launching a platform that you could upload videos up to an hour to (right now, it’s mostly 10 minutes) we felt excited because a good chunk of YOU love Instagram as much as we do.
It took us no time to decide we were going to start making video content for our very own channel, CLJ TV.
We plan to put out weekly DIY episodes, Cooking episodes from Chris (these will go live every Sunday with a corresponding recipe post here), CLJ Q&A will move over there. We are going to share monthly recaps of life and projects around here. We also thought it would be fun to do videos about blogging as a business, tool demos, A Cabin Diary (as we’re just starting that project!) and House Tours.
In fact! We just posted our first episode–an updated house tour we shot yesterday!–to our channel last night! You can watch the 4 minute house tour video right here.
You can watch IGTV videos by clicking on the IGTV icon at the top of your feed in the Instagram app, or you can download the standalone IGTV app for iOS or Android.
You will also be able to watch videos from the “IGTV” icon on Instagram profiles. It’s located first in line with the Instagram Story Highlights.
We’d love to know what else you’d like to see from us over there? I think it might be one of those things like Instagram Stories was. We were all a little hesitant at first and comfy in our snapchat bubble, but now I love Instagram Stories. And we’re excited to share longer videos on CLJ TV. Hope you are, too!
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

Befores, afters, mood boards, plans, failures, wins. We’ve done a lot of projects, and they’re all here.
We have a long-standing relationship with DIY, and love rolling our sleeves up and making it happen.
Even when you don’t want to rip down a wall, you can make that space in your home better. Right now.
The next project we’re checking off our 2023 project list is the mudroom! This used to be the laundry room until we built out a much bigger, better laundry room upstairs. So, in the meantime, this space has been exclusively Cricket’s room. Cricket will still have a special space here, but we’re transforming this dingy […]

Now that the bathroom reno is nearly complete and those beautiful green tiles are installed, do you have any feelings about painting the bedroom walls the lighter color? When watching the new home tour, it was the first thing that came to mind – I wonder how it would look with the older, darker walls? It seems like it would be a beautiful balance.
I love the lighter bedroom with the dark, green tile. (Been planning it for yearrrsss.)
SO EXCITED! This is going to be amazing- cannot wait! And I’m also stoked to see Chris bringing back cooking!
Sounds very exciting!! I love your ideas for types of content on there!
Just wanted to note that I discovered you through one of your youtube home tours (I think 2016 home tour?) and have been a loyal follower ever since! Not sure if you would find that info helpful that maybe big videos like the yearly home tour you should till put up over on youtube too to generate new followers!
Great tip! Thanks, Kiera!
I totally found you guys this way as well! Its also how I found yellowbrickhome! ha! I can totally see you guys not focusing on youtube specifically but as Kiera said, I would really appreciate big videos being uploaded there. Plus you don’t have to deal with horrible vertical filming! So excited for new content!
I just watched your house tour and your home is beautiful. I love how your master bedroom came together. We just bought our first house and are excited to take on some small projects but it’s intimidating. Tool demos sound great. I would also love some behind the scenes on project planning.
I am so so SO glad Chris is doing cooking videos! Yeah!
Unfortunately, I do not have instagram, old phone. How can I view your videos.
Will the link in this post bring you to it?
This is so exciting! Sounds like CLJ TV will have a lot of great content.
