Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

A reader recently asked me if I’m starting to fully embrace traditional style and whether we still consider our house to be a “modern Colonial” and why. It was a really great question and so timely — I had really just been thinking about my approach to this home and how my style has changed […]

Hi, I’ve been reading for years and just started podcast recently and have gone through most of them. I couldn’t find an email for you so am commenting here on something that’s on my mind. I enjoy the podcast and you are all delightful. I have noticed, however, something that bugs me. I have never heard you give even one comment of praise toward Preston. He obviously does a lot for you all that advances your blog and company. I know you do the same for him and his endeavors. But while he often heaps praise and adoration on you, you never even say something like, “hey, you’re cool. Or I like how you did that. or Thank you.” Not even once! That’s really odd. I think maybe pride or insecurity makes people overlook that simple act and so wanted to give you some perspective. We’re not all effusive like Preston, but a little comment or even an inquiry into his life beyond saying “that’s cool” and moving on to your stuff when he shares something, that would go a long way. When you were reading reviews and people were critical of Preston, you did nothing to defend him. that hurt my heart. thanks and peace
We all poke fun at each other, really. And funny enough, Preston is the one that edits the podcast and he tends to keep that stuff in because he thinks it is hilarious. Also! Ultimately, the show is about us and he is facilitating the conversation, but if you haven’t had a chance to listen to our most recent podcast–do! We are very good friends and support each other endlessly.
That Target headboard! The UK has no affordable, yet stylish furniture options. I miss Target so much!
Wow! I just bought new hardware for our front door and the “please ring” works perfectly with it! It also mirrors our passion for hospitality. Thanks for putting this out there!
Thanks for this. Note to your advertisers: this is so much more relevant/helpful than spam in my mailbox that I just delete.
Thanks for sharing! I love the West Elm bedding!
