Happy Labor Day! We’re hoping you’re cashing in on some much-needed R&R — and shopping all of the great sales this weekend. We snuck away to the beach over the weekend with some family. But I literally had my alarm set this morning because I wanted to make sure to tell you about eBay’s Labor Day savings on a bunch of their Certified Refurbished (CR) items–including something that’s been getting us through the kitchen renovation.
I’ve gushed about this before, but it bears repeating: Products that are in the CR shop are not just “to standard” — they are pristine. They are like-new, and they have been professionally inspected, cleaned, and refurbished by the manufacturer or a manufacturer-approved vendor. Sometimes, the products come in new boxes; sometimes they come in their original packaging. Plus, there’s a 2-year warranty on every Certified Refurbished purchase. I have bought vacuums, power washers, power tools, and SO MANY other appliances Certified Refurbished. (Look for that CR under the product name).
Chris has had his eye on the Cuisinart Digital AirFryer Toaster Convection Oven for awhile now, after our friends bought one— and since our kitchen is currently under construction, it was a great time to spring for one. These babies usually cost somewhere around $380. As soon as I saw one listed in eBay’s CR shop, I grabbed it — for $179! Less than half of the price!
Within minutes of unboxing it, Chris was chopping potatoes. He cooked bacon on the top grate, proffering all of the tasty drippings onto potatoes in the tray underneath (because he’s a genius). When they were roasty and toasty, he pulled the potatoes out, tossed them with bacon crumbles, a light dressing, and fresh herbs. It tasted like heaven, and it works for pretty much any meal of the day!

Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

We recently painted our study a dark, moody green color. This is after we first painted it a muddy green, then repainted it a blue-gray. I guess what they say is true; third time’s a charm! The journey was worth it, though, because I’m so in love with this glossy green in contrast with the […]
