Lately, I feel like we’ve been tearing away a lot of elements in the guest room. We stole the art for our bedroom. The curtains for the office. And the rug, briefly, too. (It’s made it’s way back in here because I felt so bad. Really.) The room was looking pretty bare and we had guests coming to stay with us for a few days. While we didn’t have time to focus on a full revamp, I thought swapping out the wintry bedding for something more fresh would give the room the lift it needed–and it really did!
I ordered these pretty floral sheets and a light striped duvet on eBay! Did you know 81% of all merchandise sold on eBay is new and available with the “Buy It Now” option (no bidding necessary). And 69% of items ship for free. I love checking the site to find things from my favorite brands all in one spot.
These moody floral pattern of these sheets stopped me in my tracks. It feels Spring-y but not grandma-springy. You know? They have a bunch of sizes, but I got the queen set by Tribeca Living here for $61 (down from $167).
The duvet cover (could use a steamer) is lightweight, a welcomed changed from the flannel one we had here for the winter months, and was a steal! A queen duvet cover and shams by Home Collection for $29, down from $99.
The two patterns mix really well and add some light-heartedness.
eBay is having a really large Spring bedding event right now. You can check out the full selection of bedding marked down 60% right here. I put these stippled light gray sheets in my cart (less than $30 for a king! and so cute!) and I’m stocking up for the girls’ room, too.
Happy Weekend! Happy Spring!

Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

We recently painted our study a dark, moody green color. This is after we first painted it a muddy green, then repainted it a blue-gray. I guess what they say is true; third time’s a charm! The journey was worth it, though, because I’m so in love with this glossy green in contrast with the […]

I love this room and the bed is so beautiful with floral and stripe patterns. I am admirative
I’m french so I don’t understand well the different beds sizes… Could you tell me the measures of the tribecca floral sheet in queen size? thank you very much
this bedroom is beautiful!
Is this bed the Antique Dark Bronze? It looks black in your pictures, and lighter on Wayfair!
Hoping it looks as dark as possible :)
It says antique dark bronze but is definitely black in my book
This is beautiful! Where did you get the green velvet pillows?
Lulu & Georgia
What do I think?!?!? I think this bedroom is gorgeous, fabulous, serene, perfectly appointed, creative and I think…no I WISH this bedroom was mine! Congratulations on your shopping savvy and your beautiful new bedroom.
You have renewed my determination to stop by eBay regularly. I tend to go at it in fits and starts. Our daughter, an interior designer, is forever finding unique pieces to give just the “right touch” to her client’s homes.
This room is beautiful! I’d like to do something similar in our master bedroom. With a king size bed, would you recommend putting something over the bed? If yes, what? A larger, framed pic?
Yeah! A large, framed piece or a series of three smaller ones would look pretty!
I’m constantly looking for new bedding (partially due to the big dog who thinks it’s her bed), and I hadn’t considered eBay! Such a great idea. Thank you!
Hi there,
Do you have a source listed somewhere for the hardware on all your interior doors? I looked thru “shop our house”, but didn’t see it listed.
We have been looking at something very similar, but thought I would check what you used. Are the black or bronze?
Thanks.
I think they are listed as bronze but they look black in real life. Check out this post.
Hi your kitchen is so fabulous! I found it when looking for tips on installing the Ikea LAXARBY doors. I have a issue with some of the interior white from the box showing through to the front, on a corner and with the dark LAXARBY doors, which I love, it looks really bad.I was wondering if you experience this or if you have the darker base interior or if you use or if you have heard of anyone using paint or the sticking vinyl tape stuff? I know that they are installed correctly. Your advice would be much appreciated!
Thank you so much.
We went with the dark interiors so we haven’t experienced that. I would try paint!
Any helpful hints on finding the pendant light in this room. The link just goes to the Wayfair web page and not the actual light. And their are 200 pages of pendant lights to wade through. ???? thank you so much!
Aye yi yi! Wayfair loves to switch up their links on us. I’ll see what I can track down.
Thank you! Just some key words so I can search too would be helpful! ????
How heavy are these floral sheets? It says flannel in the description and I live in the south! Think they are too cozy for my climate?
They are thin flannel. You could pair them with a lightweight bedspread or throw in a warmer climate.
I love those sheets ???? I know they’re flannel, but how heavy would you say they are? Do you think they’d be ok for year round use? Thanks!

I love all of your bedding choices! Would you consider doing a post on sheet/duvet/pillow combos? I have a hard time pattern mixing and you do it so well! What is your secret?!
I like to mix an organic design (flowers) with something more rigid (like stripes.) Or a small pattern (like a pinstripe) with a larger pattern (like a windowpane grid). Or if there could be a common color theme with the small, medium, or large pattern!
