February will always feel monumental because Chris and I set out to North Carolina two years ago to commence our house-hunting journey. We decided to move in the middle of a long winter, and there were a lot of unknowns at the time, but we’re so glad we made the jump because we can’t imagine living elsewhere. Last February, we finished transforming the study, and can you believe that one year later, we’re transforming the study yet again? I guess I’m not too shocked. Along with adding pocket doors and built-ins, we’re repainting because the third time’s a charm. Other highlights from the month include the release of yet another Jules rug and the launch of our Faye flooring product line with Stuga. All good things.
In other news, I’m finally ready to put some holes in this wallpaper and hang some art! My plan is to do a gallery wall with vintage paintings of either food or portraits–I can’t decide! I thought I would share a bunch of my favorite ride-or-die products from the month in hopes that you find something that might make a positive change in your life. Happy February!
These are my new favorite faux florals I got this month! They’re from Afloral, which has the absolute best florals you can get, and the quality matches the reputation. I also got the lilac blooms in pink to mix in, and they’re so delicate and pretty.
I know I’m going to get flak for sharing this, but I recently swapped my washcloth for these disposable towelettes. They’re dry towels with almost 10,000 4.7-star reviews and are so extremely soft and versatile! You can dry your face off with them or pair them with a makeup remover or cleanser rather than using a bacteria-contaminated washcloth! It feels somewhat wasteful to use and toss in the trash, but knowing that they’re 100% biodegradable eases my conscience. Highly recommend if you too are in your skincare era. It’s almost like a tack cloth.
I lived in this set in Hawaii, and I’ve been living in it at home too. It’s so comfy but also just so freaking cute. Loungy knits are in!
Cricket outgrew her puppy collar and so I got her this monogrammed collar because I couldn’t help myself.
I even upgraded her feeding bowl to be able to fit more food and water and it matches her monogrammed collar.
I found some moss bunnies in the dollar section at Target and bought them so fast. Unfortunately, they aren’t available online, but these ones are super similar and I can’t handle the cuteness!
I’ve been living in these Amazon drop-chain hoops. They’re sterling silver, nickel free, and hypoallergenic so they don’t irritate my ears and they’re practically weightless. Can’t believe the price on these!
I got these platters last year, and they are still a favorite! They dress up any table setting in an instant, and you can count on them being used for Easter dinner.
Hands down my absolute favorite swimsuit. I splurged on this suit and wanted only to wear this one suit while we were in Hawaii. It’s one-size-fits-all and SO comfortable and flattering.
Feel free to throw away all your makeup brushes and replace them with this one brush. My makeup routine wouldn’t be complete without this blending brush doing all of the heavy-lifting. I got a lot of questions if I use the same brush for my foundation stick, bronzer and cream blush and the answer is yes! I just go from lightest to darkest and do my blush last. I don’t clean it every day either. This brush is just the best best.
This Jules rug is a newer addition to the collection, and it’s hard to even portray through a photo, but it’s so stunning. It’s full of pinks and rusts and is sure to warm up any space.
When I was organizing our junk drawer, I got a ton of messages about how I couldn’t store batteries with the ends touching or they might start a fire. So I got this battery organizer, and now I can sleep soundly at night knowing my batteries aren’t misplaced or misbehaving.
When we were in San Fransisco earlier this month for a photo shoot, the makeup artist that was getting me ready used this setting spray, and he told me that all the makeup artists are using this before and after applying makeup. I swear it mists on like magic and makes my makeup completely fade-proof.
This sarong accompanied every swimsuit I wore in Hawaii and is not a staple part of my swimwear wardrobe. I love that you don’t have to tie it like other sarongs I have tried–it just slips right on!
Big shoutout to our new flooring line with Stuga, Faye. We installed it in the new CLJ office space, and it’s the star of the show. You can order a free sample today!
Okay, okay, I ordered this silver vase, not exactly knowing what would show up. Although it’s completely adorable, it’s actually super tiny, or at least much smaller than I envisioned, but I love it. It’s so heavy and high quality. I thought I would go on my desk but now I’m thinking holding some buds next to the sink.
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

We recently painted our study a dark, moody green color. This is after we first painted it a muddy green, then repainted it a blue-gray. I guess what they say is true; third time’s a charm! The journey was worth it, though, because I’m so in love with this glossy green in contrast with the […]

Cleansing cloths have been a game changer for my skin but I’m with you on the planetary impact. Not sure if it makes sense for these but one way to reduce waste (and stretch the money) is to just take 5 mins and cut them all in half. Works well with the Olay ones.
We are planning a mural wall in our dining room, so I’m excited to see what you choose! I’m looking for some frame inspo as well :)
and by mural wall, I meant gallery wall :)
Love the collar! So cute. I found a Marc Jacobs dupe for that bathing suit at TJ Maxx last week when I was in Palm Springs! It’s a lighter linen colour but otherwise the same, and $50! Comfy and stylish enough to wear as a bodysuit too.
Love these! The Drop Chain Hoop Earrings and cover-up are absolutely gorgeous!
