When I’m getting ready for the day I tend to choose my jeans before choosing the rest of my outfit! I’ve been collecting jeans for years and I have always loved the ease and durability and classic look of denim (and denim on denim for that matter). And to be honest, I’m more comfortable in a pair of jeans than anything else. Denim fashion is refreshing ALL THE TIME While I like to keep my jeans pretty classic, I’m always willing to try what’s “in” because I just think it’s fun. And that’s why I’m sharing my favorite jeans and why in no particular order! These are the jeans I’m always reaching for. My ride-or-dies so to speak. I also thought it would be helpful to share the sizes I got and you’ll see they’re all over the map! I am generally a size 4 in dresses, other pants and everything else–but my denim can range from a 25 to a 28. I marked them appropriately.

Abercrombie High Rise Skinny Jeans size 26 long – $89

Jeans | Tee | Shoes

These jeans fit me all the time! They feel really secure and not super stretchy (which I prefer). Even though they are a skinny fit, I love that they’re not super tight on my ankles–more of a relaxed skinny! They’re one of my favorites because everything about them is classic, from the wash, to the fit, with minimal distressing on one little pocket. Universally effortless, and just an easy pair to wear. If I was going to take a pair of jeans on a weekend trip, I would grab these because I can dress them up or down easily.

Mango High Waist Straight Jeans size 8 – $59 (0n sale for $29)

Jeans | Tee | Shoes

I have a couple wide-legged pants but these are just the most comfortable, imo. I originally got my normal size 4 and they were so tight so I went up to an 8. I probably could have gone to a size 6, but I kept the 8s because these are more of my relaxed fit. For not being longs (I’m 6′) they’re really long. I’ve tried other wide-leg pants and I realized if I’m wearing a wide leg I don’t want it to be tight on my thighs. (In proportion to my waist, I do have thicker thighs and jeans are generally loose at my waist and tighter on my legs). They have a ton of different colors to choose from, but I love this classic tan pair so much.

Everlane ’90s Cheeky Jean size 27 tall – $108

Jeans | Tee | Shoes

So far 3 different pants and 3 different sizes! These are the other pair that I always bring on short trips. I love LOVE a washed black denim. They’re really high waisted and hit exactly where I want them to hit. I feel like I can move around in them really well. I’ve dressed them up, I’ve dressed them down–just an overall classic black denim with a loose calf. I don’t have 2 of any pair of jeans but this would be the pair I get two of because I never want to be without them.

AGOLDE ’90s Pinch Waist High Rise Straight size 28 – $198

Jeans | Tee | Shoes

These didn’t have a length option so I was surprised I love the cut and where they hit so much! I was told by so many people to try this brand and I was extremely nervous about the price… But honestly I get the hype now. I feel the most butt confidence in these jeans. It’s tight where you want it to be relaxed everywhere else. These are a really my most “trendy” jeans with the distressing and the fit and I was worried that it was a lot of money for something so trendy. I’ve worn them probably twice a week every week since I got them! They are amazing and I FEEL amazing in them. I love how they hug my hips and slim my silhouette a bit. I will say that for me there is a little bit of tension in the crotch area. Not sure if that comes hand-in-hand with the slimming, or maybe it’s just me (my height?)! An incredible pair of denim.

Madewell High Rise Slim Boyjean size 26 tall – $138

Jeans | Tee | Shoes

These jeans make me feel really cool. They arrived cuffed and have a very slim, loose fit jean which is extremely flattering. The distressing on the knees is minimal and I have learned this is my favorite jean to wear with more of a tucked in shirt or a cropped sweater.

Madewell 10″ High Rise Skinny Jeans size 25 tall – $138

Jeans | Tee | Shoes

These are the jeans I’ve had the longest, I guess you could say back when skinny jeans were the jeans to wear. I don’t care what anybody says about skinnies, I still wear them all the time. I love wearing them with sneakers or boots and they’re really easy to dress up because of the darker wash. They’re also extremely stretchy so they really hug you all over.

Abercrombie ’90s Ulta High Rise Straight Jeans size 27 long – $99

Jeans | Tee | Shoes

I would say these jeans are the biggest bang for your buck and are THE jeans to get right now. I’m getting more washes in this exact jean because I love them so much! They have an amazing fit and a really really high rise which is so comfortable.

AGOLDE ’90s Pinch Waist High Rise Straight size 27 – $198

Jeans | Tee | Shoes

My second pair of Agolde jeans! I honestly have so many pairs of jeans in this light washed denim and in this fit, but every time I’m looking to wear that kind of jean, I reach for these. A very classic pair with no distressing. On me they’re nice and tight through the hips and through the thighs and relaxed above the knee, with a bit of a flare at the ankle. Love the shape they give me!

What do you think?

  1. Kinga says:

Ahh, I’m so picky about jeans and I don’t like to buy the online, I need to try them at store 😉. Normally I’m more into straight leg jeans, but I have exactly the same Mango jeans and I love them.

  2. Annemarie says:

Have you tried the Athlete jeans? I love them! Great for long legs…
Maybe too much stretch for you but I find them super comfortable.

  3. 5'4" Jenn says:

I too am obsessed with jeans and think its so funny to see how they same pair fits on different bodies. All those high rises come up to my bra (kidding) but the new Madewell Mid-rise Vintage jeans have been a game changer!! The rise hits my stomach where all these other high rises hit on you :) just a rec for my other short gals out there

  4. Aileen says:

Have you ever tried American Eagle jeans? They are my fav.

  5. Sarah Hina says:

For future posts like this I’m curious if more of your staff would be willing to share their favorites? It would be great if more sizes and body shapes were highlighted.

  6. Heather Wittman says:

Thank you for sharing the sizing and how widely it varies. I purchased the Mango jeans and they were wonderful for my long legs, but yikes in the size 4 that I normally wear, no way could I even do the top button. It is crazy how all over the sizing is, and my own jean wardrobe is just like that as well! Bravo, keep sharing with us! You are beautiful!

  7. KP says:

A very weird question but do you find your Everlane jeans smell funny? I have a pair of washed black skinny jeans from Everlane and they have always had this odd scent that I can’t get rid of. I’ve read that can be an issue with black denim (something about the chemical process) and wondering if it’s the case for all Everlane denim or just mine…!
