Yesterday was Chris’s birthday. He is now 27. Which is a really big deal because 27 is one of my favorite numbers (I also love 19) and Chris is HANDS DOWN my favorite guy. I can already tell this is going to be a great year! Last night, before falling asleep I asked Chris what some of his goals were this next year. A few of his birthday goals are to buy a house, keep doing good at his job so he can take care of Greta and I, and to get me pregnant again. And then he gave me one of his big squinty smiles that I love. Haha.
Before Chris left for work, he opened his present from Greta and I. A HUGE box of pretzels. 12 bags of Broken Sourdough Hard Pretzels from Wege of Hanover. (He really loves them and that’s what he asked for…so I delivered). Greta helped decorate the wrapping paper. She, in turn, got Sharpie all over her hand. Oops.
We met at Chili’s for lunch, where Chris told me that he had taken the rest of the day off! I felt like it was MY birthday. The rest of the day we just spent time together, which was so refreshing. I really love Chris. He is so caring and kind and considerate. He really makes me laugh. Every. Day. And he works hard to provide for us. (He is really humble, so this is all going to embarrass him.) I feel really blessed to have him as my husband and best friend. I love you, Chris…you little cutie, you!
