Befores, afters, mood boards, plans, failures, wins. We’ve done a lot of projects, and they’re all here.

We have a long-standing relationship with DIY, and love rolling our sleeves up and making it happen.

Even when you don’t want to rip down a wall, you can make that space in your home better. Right now.

We decked the halls (okay, just the front of our house) really early this year.  Back in July, Home Depot contacted me and asked us to participate in their Holiday Style Challenge this year.  They sent us a room full of mystery boxes containing more Christmas stuff then we knew what to do with and the assignment to decorate the front door of our home.  It arrived in September at a low-low for me physically–I wasn’t even able to get out of bed or open my eyes due to my hyperemesis.  But somehow, over the course of a few weeks, we got that entry decorated by the deadline–with minimal weird looks from our brand new neighbors.  (We know how to break in a neighborhood.) It was a Christmas miracle!  It truly lifted my spirits the whole time. You can check out all of the details of our “inside out” holiday theme right here–including that runner so many of you asked me about.

Have you started decorating yet?  We slid these decorations into the garage to pull out as soon as Thanksgiving is a wrap.  But, I’ll admit–I am getting antsy.

What do you think?

So fun! I’m all over the three wreath idea.

  2. We’re not decorating for Christmas this year, at least that’s the plan. It’s our first Christmas without my husband’s kids so we’re going away. In order to get him to agree, I had to compromise that we wouldn’t do anything Christmas-y at our house. I’m going to live vicariously through blogs like yours!

I’m dying. And I worry about me with my camera and projects on the lawn. This made my day :)

  4. Elaine says:

I just went over and read it – LOVE IT! such awesome ideas! Thanks so much for the inspiration… and how adorable is that Charly?!

  5. Ahh! I’m loving all of this Christmas inspiration! I need to get the ball rolling with my decor!

  6. It turned out so pretty! I can’t wait to decorate for Christmas! You guys did an excellent job on the porch, it feels so homey!!!

  7. It is perfect! And I love what you did with the 3 wreaths. Genius. That middle cranberry wreath is exactly what I want to get for this Christmas. Can you believe we don’t own ONE wreath?? What a crime!

This is gorgeous and I’m so proud of you! Way to pull it all together. and the tree outside is so chic.

Almost daily I get asked what I would call my home style. I don’t like to box myself in, but I definitely lean Modern Traditional with an emphasis on comfort when it comes to our home. This especially came up when I shared our Powder Bath Reveal on the blog. I think it changes slightly […]
