Our cabinet line with Semihandmade was supposed to debut in the press and major magazines with photos of the completed cabin kitchen, that never saw completion. It’s added another complex layer of sadness, even guilt (not that I had any control or could have predicted the fire) that I’m still trying to process. While there is currently no completed kitchen to feature the cabinet line we worked so hard on with Semihandmade, I’m so grateful that there are other projects popping up! Angela Rose shared this adorable and functional window seat she made with an IKEA Besta unit and our Semihandmade doors in Cove! I love how it turned out and she shared the simple DIY on her instagram right here!
You can order samples of our cabinet fronts right here!–they work with Ikea Besta, Godmorgon and all of the kitchen cabinets!
Other fun things this week
Typography humor at its finest.
Some people’s bucket lists include exotic places, mine includes transitioning wood and tile like this.
This little girls’ room is coming together in such a fun way!
40% off EVERYTHING (no exclusions! that never happens!) at Old Navy this weekend! Here are a few quick picks, keep in mind it would be an extra 40% off these prices:
Okay, Lauren Liess. You win, always. (Talk about a before and after!)
McGee & Co’s sidewalk sale is basically all of my favorite home stuff 60% off–things are going quick!
This whole instagram account is the so completely satisfying and interesting! (you can lose an hour pretty quickly on it)
Yesterday we started a quick makeover of our friends (the Pugmires!) bedroom. It was filled with hand-me-downs and never got ANY attention. We’ll be sharing a few DIYs and the afters next week, but also a lot of progress along the way on Instagram Stories! Hope you’ll follow along @chrislovesjulia.
Ps. This is Brooke! Our nanny turned intern turned assistant! She’s been with us for two years now and is one of my favorite people. We have a fun clj team intro video hitting our YouTube channel later today, so make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss it!
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

Befores, afters, mood boards, plans, failures, wins. We’ve done a lot of projects, and they’re all here.
We have a long-standing relationship with DIY, and love rolling our sleeves up and making it happen.
Even when you don’t want to rip down a wall, you can make that space in your home better. Right now.
The next project we’re checking off our 2023 project list is the mudroom! This used to be the laundry room until we built out a much bigger, better laundry room upstairs. So, in the meantime, this space has been exclusively Cricket’s room. Cricket will still have a special space here, but we’re transforming this dingy […]

Grandma Ginger is beyond adorable. Loved the video.
Haha- Chris and Jordan have similar voices and (dry) deliveries. I laughed throughout that interview.
I know you’ve made over a space in Jordan’s apartment, but would he want to buy a house for you to renovate (or you buy a house to renovate and rent to him)?
I miss the podcast.
I miss Preston Pugmire.
But what I miss most is when the three of you would start laughing and no matter what kind of day I was having….
I would be laughing along with you.
So the great thing about this post is……the Pugmires are getting a bedroom refresh and I got to hear you two laugh . Does Utah Jordan know he laughs like his uncle?
Yes! He has the Marcum laugh for sure.
Would love to hear more about your childcare! We have a one year old and are thinking about finding a nanny for a couple of days per week.
Check out the new video on our YouTube channel here
That Old Navy sale just outfitted me for spring! Thanks!
Wow. Just read your post about the fire. Glad to see you guys are staying positive and already have new projects.
Looking forward to following along with the Pugmires bedroom progress. :)
