With the end of summer quickly approaching, this month there were two major themes around here. Namely, the backyard finally wrapping up and the upstairs bathroom slowly getting pulled together. Just so we’re on the same page – lets get all caught up on the most recent updates this month.

Last month the whole CLJ team shared their favorite things for June and it was so much fun showing a peak behind the curtain and showing what everyone has been loving that we decided to do it again! Our team is always recommending things and inspiring each other, so why not share that with all of you too?! Afterall, we do have the best team. 🥰
1. Barefoot Dreams Blanket $97
“I’ve been on the hunt for a cozy throw blanket. This one feels like you’re wrapped in a cloud.” – Brooke (Affiliate Marketing Manager)
2. Project Smoke $19
“Brooke got me this cookbook and I have been smoking it up this month. The Slam Dunk Brisket is a must.” – Tristan (Project Manager)
3. Wireless Charging Station $30
“No more messy cords! This charger cleared up so much space on my nightstand, and helps ensure that all of my devices are fully charged for the next day. I can’t believe I ever lived without it.” – Becca (Good Influencer Manager)
4. Patterned Curtains $52
“These curtains came as a recommendation from Andi actually! They have so many charming, vintage-inspired patterns and I fell in love with this whimsical, bird pattern to hang in my freshly painted family room. The quality is great, price is great, now I’m just waiting for my curtain rod to get here so I can sit back and take it all in.” – Missy (Social Media Manager)
5. Outdoor Solar Deck Lights $29
“I have been feeling extra 35 lately, because I’m really into exterior lighting and taking care of plants. I recently placed these solar deck lights out back and I love that time of dusk where they just turn on and it looks all glowy outside. They come with screws to keep them in place, but they hang on our deck ledge just fine straight out of the box.” – Andi (Visual Media Head)
6. Half Gallon Water Jug $15
“I set a goal to drink a gallon of water a day and I knew it couldn’t require multiple refills. This water bottle is a half gallon so I only have to fill it up once a day. I’m so hydrated and hit my goal every day before dinner.” – Chris
7. Curls Blueberry Bliss $30
“I started a journey of trying the curly hair routine to get my natural curls as luscious as possible, and this product has been a game changer! It holds the curls all day, allows minimal frizz and smells amaaaazing!”- Lauren (Editorial Manager)
8. Retinol Reform Serum $88
“A couple of my favorite beauty influencers have been singing the retinol’s praises for a year, so I finally caved and got it. I’m on my SECOND bottle and it is indeed INCREDIBLE. It has helped clear up acne, lighten scarring and help my skin GLOW! It’s so good!!” – Julia
9. Pique Knit Blazer $77
“I went away to the beach this month and wore this blazer for lunch on the pier with my sisters. It felt so nautical and cool — and it looks great with a pair of shorts!” – Victoria (Brand Manager/Publicist)
10. Pool Float $37
“Now that the pool is OFFICIALLY DONE, the girls have been using this floatie to lounge, splash, and just have a ball together.” – Julia
11. Wunder Train 6″ Shorts $64
“I started with the black, and then I got the charcoal and then I got the electric blue. These 6″ shorts have been my go-to for working out this summer! They stay in place, are extremely comfortable and so flattering. I size up so they don’t cut into my legs (I really don’t like when pants are too tight on my thighs) and I can totally see myself adding more to my collection.” – Julia
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

We recently painted our study a dark, moody green color. This is after we first painted it a muddy green, then repainted it a blue-gray. I guess what they say is true; third time’s a charm! The journey was worth it, though, because I’m so in love with this glossy green in contrast with the […]
