Last night we built and hung the supports for our vent hood insert that is being installed today, along with the rest of our appliances. A crew of three hilarious, kind, knowledgable guys from Frigidaire flew in last night and stopped by to get to know us and the kitchen before the big install day today. It’s a huge day for us and the kitchen and since all of you have been so supportive of this project (and probably just as curious about side-by-side ranges as we are), I thought it would be fun to live instagram the day!
Follow @ChrisLovesJulia to see it all go down. They are arriving at 8am MST (with donuts–eee!) and we couldn’t be more grateful or excited.
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

The next project we’re checking off our 2023 project list is the mudroom! This used to be the laundry room until we built out a much bigger, better laundry room upstairs. So, in the meantime, this space has been exclusively Cricket’s room. Cricket will still have a special space here, but we’re transforming this dingy […]

HI! I’m a long time reader but I’m backtracking a bit as we are now preparing for our own kitchen reno. :) I’ve taken a pretty thorough look at your posts, but can’t seem to find one that explains how you built the range hood cover. Am I missing it? Thanks so much! Love your style!
You aren’t missing it, sorry! For some reason we never got that post up.
Ditto this! We’re tackling this soon in our lakehouse. Challenging project as it’s a tiny (but open) kitchen with 7 foot ceilings. We really don’t want to lose the window currently over the sink, but we’re moving the range there. So I found an amazing inspo pic of a built in range hood over a window and would love to see a tutorial on this. I looked at all 3 kitchen renos and didn’t see one!
I peeked on instagram and they look great!!!
Is it weird that I am just as excited as if it was my own kitchen? lol
Awesome! Can’t wait to see the updates!
Exciting! (And the tile wall looks amazing!)
