This post and giveaway is sponsored by Briggs and Stratton.

Pressure washing is, pretty much, our favorite summer hobby around here. In our most recent podcast, it was only a half-joke when we say we pressure wash every day.  So we were very excited when Briggs + Stratton asked if they could send us one of their newest models and give one away, too! We also snagged a discount code for everyone (!!) I put at the bottom of the post. And with Father’s Day just around the corner, I can’t think of a more perfect gift.

Briggs & Stratton Electric Pressure Washer

This particular pressure washer (The Briggs & Stratton 2000 MAX PSI* at 1.1 GPM / 3.5 MAX GPM* at 80 PSI – Featuring POWERflow+ Technologyhas a fold down steel frame handle which makes it super compact so we can store it in our deck box and break it out nearly every day.

We’ve had intense wind and pollen this season which leaves our whole yard a mess, but our deck has definitely taken the brunt of it. And even though the Clam Shell color is really good at disguising dirt–there’s nothing like seeing it come clean with a pass of the pressure washer.

In addition to all the normal, regular, addictive things we pressure wash (the siding, driveway, sidewalk, patio furniture, windows, brick, trash cans, grill, garage doors, and even our cars!), occasionally there’s something inside that piques my interest–can I pressure wash that? should I? I have to try!

Our most recent backyard BBQ was the day after a huge rainstorm and our entry rug got riddled with muddy footprints–especially right by the front door–as a result. The rug is made up of low profile FLOR squares (their Suit Yourself line in Linen) that have a rubber backing and I brought each square outside to the freshly washed driveway (can’t stop. won’t stop.) for a good pressure wash.

One feature that’s super nice about this Briggs and Stratton pressure washer is the Onboard Detergent Tank that allows you to easily store and dispense cleaning detergents and the 7-in-1 Nozzle (that blue knob at the end) which lets you adjust pressure settings and apply soap with one-handed operation at the nozzle.

The difference is staggering–definitely a success. You can check out more pressure washing tips from Briggs and Stratton, right here.

As I mentioned at the beginning, although pressure washing is definitely not just for the guys, I don’t know one guy that wouldn’t love one of these powerhouses for father’s day. On Amazon, you can use code 15CLJ at checkout for 15% off any of Briggs and Stratton’s new 2017 gas or electric pressure washers (we have and love this one!), or any of the other models listed below, too!

And! As promised, we’re excited to give away one of these Briggs & Stratton S2000P featuring POWERflow+ Technology to one lucky reader! Enter through the Rafflecopter Widget below (prize ships to continental US only) and we’ll announce the winner Monday!

  1. Tootsie says:

My neighbor, no joke, pressure washed her couches last summer. They actually turned out fabulous.

  2. Andrey says:

Great informative D.I.Y you covered everything down to the highly overlooked safety tips. TURN OFF OUTLET, and don’t fall off the ladder from the pressure which i’ve actually seen happen he was okay so it’s funny now :). I no longer use ladders only extenders thanks for the read, keep up the good work.

It will be forgetting the mud off my dirt bikes and for washing my car. Is 1500psi good enough? what other things should I consider when buying one? what is better electric or gas powered? I’m not looking for anything fancy, just something somewhat reliable and that will get the job done.  gas pressure washer

  4. Abby says:

I was so excited about this, I’ve wanted a pressure washer for so long and this one seemed awesome! I placed an order for it same day as this post. Now, two months later and still no pressure washer, Amazon emailed me to say that my order has been cancelled due to lack of availability. So disappointing..

  5. Removing loose paint, mold, dust and dirt from home and concrete surfaces, we basically need pressure washer. All of this is done by skilled professionals. Whatever you depict here shows your expertise. Nice post anyway. I am interested to recommend http://www.maccityextcare.ca for a better service.

  6. Lori says:

What abt gas/electric? Is there a safety issue working with water close to power source?

    • Julia says:

I leave that to the pressure washer people, and trust they hashed that all out. But absolutely don’t spray toward any outlet. The cord is very long.

  7. Amy says:

Hi! Did you guys already announce the winner?

  8. Kristen says:

Bummed!! Was waiting to see if I won and missed the boat on the discount! It ain’t easy being cheap lol!

  9. Stephanie says:

    Amazing

  10. Ling Wang says:

My husband was *just* talking about getting a gas-powered pressure washer so that he can pressure wash more areas around our house :D

  11. Patty T. says:

We had a multi-function pressure wash/steam thingamabob given to us as a gift, but it was no way as powerful as what you’re showing. Would love to get one and start the endless pondering of… .”Can I power wash that?” Hahaha!

  12. Terilyn17 says:

My husband would LOVE this…he might never come inside:)

  13. gigi says:

There is a sidewalk that I can’t get to with a hose. I would love to have a power washer and I would definitely let my neighbors borrow it ,too.

  14. Karin says:

As the only female in an all male household, I have had dreams about being able to pressure wash the inside of our house;). But for now I’d happily settle for cleaning our patios, which are in the shade most of the time and sport a “lovely” algae/mold color.

  15. Leah Prevost says:

    Can’t stop won’t stop ????????

  16. Teri says:

It would be my husbands dream come true to get one of these for Father’s Day. Thanks for the giveaway!

  17. Ann says:

I *love* to pressure wash! It’s one of the rites of spring I truly enjoy,

  18. Christi says:

Bummed, your recommended model won’t ship for 1-2 months on Amazon. Any runner-up recommendation that is available?

  19. Emily says:

I love a good cleaning and we have a pressure we use a handful of times a year. Mainly at the beginning of the summer and for projects like deck re-staining, etc.

I can’t imagine using a pressure washer or even a hose for cleaning in the backyard as much as you say you do. So much wasted water! I think I’m just extra sensitive since I live in CA and we just got out of a 5 year drought. A good sweeping usually gets the job done for us in the yard.

  20. My pressure washer just died and I am dying to get a new one! There is something insanely satisfying about watching all the dirt and grime disappear!! Love it!

  21. Priya says:

We have been looking into power washers but the fact that you threw your rug outside and under the washer was what sold me on it. Great post!!

  22. kait bomb says:

Wow!I can’t believe the different in the deck and carpet squares! I have been wanting a pressure washer forever and I can totally see myself running around our house looking for more to power wash!

  23. JUSTYNN says:

Thanks for the giveaway! I would love to win!!

  24. Sarah says:

This is something I didn’t know I wanted… very cool!

  25. Nora says:

Brilliant idea about washing the rugs!

  26. Shannon says:

I’m giving you a big air high-five because I love pressure washing, too. There’s something so rewarding about it. And it’s so much easier than scrubbing! I keep trying to convince my husband to let me pressure wash our shower so I don’t have to scrub it. No dice. ;)

  27. Gladys says:

I would love to get this washer for our home especially with the summer approaching and as the deck gets used a lot more.
