Oriental and Persian rugs are big right now, but the truth is, they’ll always be in. They’ve been around for several hundreds of years and they’ll be around that many more. They work across all styles–modern, traditional, farmhouse, bohemian, industrial–and add a great deal of interest, pattern, warmth and charm to a room. We have a few in our home from eBay, Etsy, eSaleRugs, and The Vintage Rug Shop in our home that I love to pieces, but it’s always a little disheartening to tell our readers, “Sorry! It’s a one-of-a kind” when they ask where they can get the same eye-candy under foot.
I know that if you hunt long enough and search high and low with a little bit of patience, you will be able to find one in your price range and size you need (Persian rugs generally come in very unstandard sizes). But, prepared to spend more for the real thing.
However! For today’s post, I thought it would be fun to round up a few of my favorite Persian and Oriental-inspired rugs that aren’t one of a kind. And don’t cost an arm and a leg. And come in all the sizes you’re accustom to seeing. And they’ll add the same dose of character to your space that you’ve been aching for.

Many, if not all, of these options are available in multiple sizes and I would put any one in our home. Hope this makes the “vintage” rug hunt a little easier for some of you!
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

A reader recently asked me if I’m starting to fully embrace traditional style and whether we still consider our house to be a “modern Colonial” and why. It was a really great question and so timely — I had really just been thinking about my approach to this home and how my style has changed […]

Great roundup! And the one you placed in the feature image is superb!!!
This post is so timely! I’ve been rug shopping the past few days – I’ll have to check some of these out!
I have the very top right one (white and blue) and LOOOOOVE it. It looks so much better in our 1911 home than the geometric one I had before.
Awesome!
I don’t see any of the rugs. Is it just me?
