Over the weekend we realized we hadn’t done a house tour video of our new home yet. In our last house, we did a new video every 6 months or so and loved watching our home evolve. In that spirit, and in preparations for our first projects (details to come), we thought we better get an official “before” video, which was totally spur of the moment and unscripted. Heads up, we’re living in a mess right now. This is real life, people. Raw and unfiltered.

We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

You two are so adorable! I love that your home tour is a “real living” home tour exactly as your house was that day, not staged to look like nobody lives there. Your house has really great potential and I can see why you feel in love with it.
It’s very interesting to see the layout of homes in other parts of the country. I was surprised to see so much living space on the lower level. I live in Philadelphia and most of the homes in this area have bedrooms upstairs and underground basements.
Can’t wait to watch your house evolve and become your home!
