Before and After: Our Home Office is Finished!

Our home office is done (for now) and we’re excited to share the transformation, some details and a few tips and tricks with you today, along with so many photos! The room has actually been 95% there for quite awhile now, but because we were working on it in the very early stages of my pregnancy, when the nausea hit hard around 7 weeks, the room as a whole became a horrible trigger for me. A few days ago, we were able to reopen the door to the room and I felt so excited to finally finish it and start using the space as we intended. We DIYed the wall paneling ourselves (read more about that here) and painted the walls and trim Farrow & Ball’s Pigeon–a warm, light green with a lot of neutral gray undertones. It was really important to both of us, for this room to actually…

A Quick and Easy Shower Update (Even a Renter can do!)

You may be aware that we’re deep into a full bathroom renovation in our daughters’ bathroom downstairs. While we’re waiting for the concrete patch to cure so we can move on, I wanted to share a quick Bathroom Reno 101 tip that you can implement in under 10 minutes that only requires 1 tool and will drastically change your shower experience. We’re Having A…!

Dress sold out (similar)  I snapped this photo on Sunday afternoon, the day before we went in for our ultrasound. Besides my little bump, you can also see our house on a normal day, with little dolls strewn about and a jacket wearing the furniture. I was feeling very anxious that day. Even though we were 18 weeks into “our lives changing forever” by adding a third child, we were about to know how they were going to change forever. If we’d finish our family with another little miss or man? If there would suddenly be more cars in the midst of Littlest Pet Shops. If our “girls” bathroom downstairs would eventually be a girls and boy bathroom? The next morning we learned we’re expecting another sweet GIRL!!! Custom Print | Shoes | Mouse  This entire pregnancy, we felt like it was a boy, despite being just as sick as my other pregnancies, because of different food aversions…

4 Ways to Maximize That Unorganized Corner

Every other week, Chris and I head over to the studio in Preston’s home to record our podcast. He’s done an amazing job giving it a cool vibe, but there was one corner that has been hard to ignore: His studio is his office and he has been using these two carts to house a lot of the paperwork and equipment he accesses daily. We even grab our microphones off the carts before recording. I had some ideas on how we could help as a part of our IKEA’s ambassadorship, but I wasn’t sure how to approach the situation in a way that was, indeed helpful, and not judgmental or stepping on toes. Fortunately! He could not have been more excited about the idea, saying it has been a dream of his to whip that corner into shape. And that we did: Here are 4 ways we maximized this corner organizationally and…
