Here’s where we left off yesterday:
Down these stairs, is another 1700 square feet, and a cute little girl.
To the left, there are four doorways, three bedrooms and a bathroom.
The room to the immediate left will be the guest room. Â It doesn’t share a wall with all other room and the closet has a nice little pull-down desk in the closet which could be a cool feature for our friends? Â Yes.
The bathroom is currently a 3/4 bath, meaning it has a shower but no tub–which isn’t ideal. Â Greta likes showers, but still prefers a bath–or switching between the two. Â Fortunately (I guess?) the bathroom has the most peculiar layout and more than enough room for a bath, so we will be nearly gutting this bathroom and adding one in here.
Here’s a look behind the bathroom door, where there is another vanity!?
Here’s another bedroom. Â We have no immediate plans for this room, although the massive amount of storage in the closet would make for a good studio. :)
And this one will be Greta’s. Â It’s the largest and gets the most light and has a sweet little closet, too.
A small hallway leads to the family room:
A large, slightly awkward family room.
I will say, Chris is pushing for a projector down here and just seeing him light up while talking about it, almost has me convinced.
Through the family room there is a large storage room that sealed the entire deal for me.
And back up the stairs…
We are back at the beginning.
I am going to try to do a video tour sometime next week so you can visualize the flow a little better. Have a happy weekend! We’ll be finalizing flooring, fencing and initial paint colors and soaking in our last few days before the sweating starts. Â You?

Do you like the stuck mirrors or are you going to try to un-stick them? I’m so excited to see your renovations in this house! It is huge and has great potential! Good luck :)
Love the layout! I’m getting excited for the changes you’ll be making!! Congrats again. :)
Oh my word. We could fit 6 or 7 of our former condos in this house! Ha, so much space and potential! Although I must admit, looking at all these photos, all I can think is… wow, everything is so clean and new looking! :)
OMG – that storage is immense. You can become one of those crazy coupon people I secretly envy from my non coupon UK world!!!
I can’t believe that you’re comfortable having your daughter sleep on a different level than you.
Haha!!
Just throw some bottles of water and boxes of cereal down the stairs. How else will Generation Z learn independence?
Well, originally we were going to make her sleep in the garage, but the winters can get pretty cold in Idaho. I mean, we’re not cruel.
