I finished painting late last night and I can’t wait to share photos with you all on Monday. Can you believe Thanksgiving is less than a week away? This year, we’re hosting my parents which will make for, perhaps, the smallest feast we’ve ever had on the day but we’re excited about keeping it intimate and low-key this year. Last year, Chris compiled quite the recipe log of Thanksgiving dishes and I thought it would be helpful to link them all here for you! Chris is so good at asking our readers to leave a comment if they made the recipe or altered it in any way, and the comments of these past posts are so fun to read through. Links to tried (by many of you!) and true Thanksgiving recipes coming at you:

1. How to Roast the Perfect Turkey.

2.  Savory Cornbread Stuffing. This is the best stuffing I’ve ever had. Ever. My birthday happens to fall on Thanksgiving this year and when Chris asked me if there’s anything special I wanted with dinner, I requested extra cornbread stuffing. You must.

3. Scratch-Made Asparagus Casserole. A great alternative to green bean casserole!

4. Herbed Mashed Potatoes and Dijon Country Gravy made with Turkey Drippings. This gravy is something special.

5. Homemade Cranberry Sauce. Lots of good comments on this post, too.

6. Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Maple and Bacon Vinaigrette.

7. Light and Airy Pumpkin-Ricotta Cheesecake. One should never have to decide between pumpkin pie and cheesecake, amiright!?

9. A Cranberry Turkey Sandwich. Leftovers, we love you.

Are you hosting Thanksgiving this year? Doing anything non-traditional? Chris has hinted that he’d like to change up the menu (I am not surprised in the slightest) and maybe do a modern take on it. As long as the cornbread stuffing is present, I’ll be happy! Happy weekend to all of you!

    You guys… These posts were my LIFELINE last year for Thanksgiving and things went absolutely perfectly! I’m doing the same this year and I just wanted to say THANK YOU SO DARN MUCH for these posts. My turkey is just waiting to brine and cranberry sauce is on the stove as we speak :) Just thankyouthankyouthankyou XO

    Oh my, I think my mouth is watering. Can you please do a post on what you guys buy at the grocery store and a menu for the day? I would love that. Just some ideas I would like to see.

    Oh that gravy looks like it would melt in your mouth! I wish I was coming to friendsgiving and I lived closer. I would cook anything to come. ;)

    We’ve moved states this past year, and will have a small dinner but a bigger dessert time with fam/new friends.

    I’m looking at making Martha Stewart’s turkey breast/roll with stuffing inside, covered in BACON!

    (It’s in the DEC issue of her mag BTW. )

    I always make my Ma’s sage stuffing. Always. And her rice pudding. Otherwise, I change up sides/desserts every year. This year we can do a 5k in the morning too b/c we’re in SoCal and the weather is amazing!!!

    Might have to give that gravy recipe a go-it sounds amazing. Happy T-day to all of you :)

    Yum yum and yum!

    I’m such a stinker about not changing much about what to serve for Thanksgiving dinner. Gotta have all those traditional flavors I grew up eating and its just more for the nostalgic experience I’m sure. I love the cornbread recipe my mama made growing up, but adding sausage sounds so interesting. Ours has bacon. I’m gonna write down that gravy recipe. I usually make a homemade basic gravy with the drippings, but this might just kick the whole day up a few notches. And ya gotta have a homemade cranberry sauce! And I forget every year that Ryan hates cranberry sauce! so I make it for myself :-( More for me!!
