We decked the halls (okay, just the front of our house) really early this year. Back in July, Home Depot contacted me and asked us to participate in their Holiday Style Challenge this year. They sent us a room full of mystery boxes containing more Christmas stuff then we knew what to do with and the assignment to decorate the front door of our home. It arrived in September at a low-low for me physically–I wasn’t even able to get out of bed or open my eyes due to my hyperemesis. But somehow, over the course of a few weeks, we got that entry decorated by the deadline–with minimal weird looks from our brand new neighbors. (We know how to break in a neighborhood.) It was a Christmas miracle! It truly lifted my spirits the whole time. You can check out all of the details of our “inside out” holiday theme right here–including that runner so many of you asked me about.
Have you started decorating yet? We slid these decorations into the garage to pull out as soon as Thanksgiving is a wrap. But, I’ll admit–I am getting antsy.
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

A reader recently asked me if I’m starting to fully embrace traditional style and whether we still consider our house to be a “modern Colonial” and why. It was a really great question and so timely — I had really just been thinking about my approach to this home and how my style has changed […]

So fun! I’m all over the three wreath idea.
We’re not decorating for Christmas this year, at least that’s the plan. It’s our first Christmas without my husband’s kids so we’re going away. In order to get him to agree, I had to compromise that we wouldn’t do anything Christmas-y at our house. I’m going to live vicariously through blogs like yours!

It is perfect! And I love what you did with the 3 wreaths. Genius. That middle cranberry wreath is exactly what I want to get for this Christmas. Can you believe we don’t own ONE wreath?? What a crime!
This is gorgeous and I’m so proud of you! Way to pull it all together. and the tree outside is so chic.
