Once we packed up all of the art, photos and frames in our last house, I suddenly felt disconnected from it. It no longer felt like our house and now that we’re here in this new house, with still blank walls, we are still feeling a sense of disconnect. Art warms a home, at least it does for us. As we have been brainstorming plans and ideas for this house–everything from demo, to flooring, to paint colors, Chris and I made a goal to add a lot of art to this house–and if possible, invest in one major piece a year. Here are a few that we are currently eyeing for our walls:
1. Clare Elsaesser / 2. Lisa Madigan / 3. Todd Hunter / 4. Steve Keane / 5. Kai Samuels-Davis / 6. Franz Kline
And now you must excuse me while I put some holes in these walls and settle in. Feel free to recommend your favorite artists or pieces to check out. We’d love to take a look!

I appreciate such pictures because they are non-standard and if it can be said so, more «alive». They are very unusual and that is why they make your room unique and serve as a perfect means of modern décor. They make your accommodation more comfortable and romantic.
2, 6, 3, 1, 4, 5. That is my order. Absolutely love number 2.
Some are pretty and/or interesting, but I do not like #4.It looks like Satan is in mid-air, looking down, reading something. Bad energy. Your artwork is fabulous,Btw. Praying for you guys. I check every day, hoping to see that your house has sold. Am looking forward to what you will do with your new place. God bless you. Sherri
II’ve been following your house-saga. Ouch. We are selling a home in a very rural area of OR-so it will take a while,
we know, but the waiting is the worst. Hope you sell asap. Fingers crossed for all of us!
BTW, my son is an artist-check out his stuff at :
