Visually, they’re just what we were looking for. Modern meets traditional. And at only $20 a piece, we are only complaining a little about the quality. The curves aren’t perfectly straight, and the white shade we were promised in the description is definitely more of a natural linen color, but the lamps adjust completely up and down and from side to side and we could always replace the shade if it bothers us–so, we’re looking past the imperfections, I guess. I mean, $20!
I haven’t styled the nightstands or anything yet, (poor Chris and his tissues this weekend) but I’d love to add some plants and pretty things to hold practical items. And maybe even a few pretty things for the sake of being pretty–after all, this is one of the only rooms in the house where a figurine might be safe.
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

A reader recently asked me if I’m starting to fully embrace traditional style and whether we still consider our house to be a “modern Colonial” and why. It was a really great question and so timely — I had really just been thinking about my approach to this home and how my style has changed […]

I second Megan’s comment- I would love to know how you feel about them after a couple weeks of use!
We really love the look of these. I would say my only complaint is the on/off is on the wire that is tucked behind our nightstands–so that’s kind of a pain. But other than that, we’re happy with our budget lamps. :)
Are y’all still loving these after a little time? I’ve been trying to decide to buy a pair for our master that is in desperate need of light, but haven’t found anything in our budget.

They don’t look cheap at all. Beautiful lamps!
Love those! They are so sleek!
Love them!! I never would have guessed they only cost $20 each! That is awesome. Love the wall color too; it’s looking so great!
I love these! My husband and I are looking for something similar for our master, where on Earth did you find them?
New reader here – love your blog! I think those lamps look great, especially for that price. I love that it leaves the nightstands open for other items.
Hey Jessica! Thanks so much and welcome aboard. It’s pretty fun, here!
I’ve been checking out wall sconces for my master as well; they are all pretty expensive so I had decided against it. That is a great price and they don’t look cheap at all; what a great find!
Oh whew! Steal and a half.
I don’t think you went too cheap at all either. Love them and they look awesome!
Whew! Thanks Julia. (great name, too!)
Those are beautiful. sleek and sophisticated. I don’t think you went too cheap at all. Think about how much time you actually spend in your room, awake! Not that much time. Your bedside table lamps are on for maybe 2 hours a day, so I think you can get awake with a cheap lamp!
So true. You’re the best.
