The Writing on The Wall.

I am working on one last project before the studio is done and ready to reveal.  I think every room should have a personal touch to it.  Whether it be a family photo, a piece of art you created yourself, or a family heirloom--it is so important to inject something meaningful into each space.  While the studio will be my own personal place I can create art and be inspired, I really wanted to add more meaning to the room--while still keeping it a relatively blank canvas to photograph my art. And that is how the final project was born.  Without giving away too many details (wouldn't want to ruin the big reveal, right?) it involves my new personal mantra:

"Be open to whatever comes next." I searched and searched for the right words that weren't too profound and cheesy but spoke to me and moved me.  These are them. Not to mention, fitting for the studio that we so desperately wanted to make a second nursery for the last eighteen months.  Chris and I are learning, in many aspects of our lives, that happy surprises and disappointments and trials and change-of-plans are abundant.  God has a plan for us and it is a waste to not be happy and open to whatever comes next.  So that's the writing on the wall. Hint? Maybe. Maybe not.

What's your personal mantra?

P.S. There are only a few more days to cast your daily vote for our Exterior Melodrama.  There's no registering.  Just a two-second vote.  Click here, friends!

Last thing.  I GET TO PICK UP CHRIS TODAY!!!!!! Happy Friday, indeed. :)

You made it!!!!!! (ps our phone chat made me sooo happy! I needed that chat!!!)

Daily mantra? Not sure if I have one. But I do love the quote from Pres Monson, choose your love, love your choice. Not only does it work with your spouse, but I think anything in life that we love. Agency and then the positive consequences that follow :-)

Feel free to share your comments, ideas, links and questions in this comments' section where we can discuss all things decor or art or paint colors or toddlerdom or anything else--together.
