**Our 500th Post!!**
Kermit the Frog made it to my chalkboard. It’s not a lot of color, or a detailed drawing, but it’s something I can’t wait to hang on our wall for the month–and the print afterward, forever.  Out of the mouth of the uber popular frog himself: “Maybe you don’t need the whole world to love you, ya know?  Maybe you just need one person.”

I do know, Kermit.  I do know.  This is Kermit’s reassuring way of letting Miss Piggy know he loves her, without saying it, because it is hard for him to.  He is that one person for her. Who are you that one person to? Although I am blessed enough to know I have more than one person who loves me, I am smart enough to understand–it is okay if some people don’t. Because not everyone will.  Sometimes I forget that it’s impossible to please everyone and it is exhausting to be someone you’re not, and then Chris leans over and wraps his arms around me and reminds me he is my “one person”and nothing else matters at that point.

Thanks Kermit, for inspiring this month’s chalkboard drawing and for the excellent reminder of the impact of just one person’s love. When deciding what to draw each month, I always end up on what I’m connecting with at the moment.  What do I want to look at for the month?  What do I want to hang on our walls?  And then I just go with it.

This month’s drawing, as well as past months, is now available as a limited edition print in our Etsy shop.

And don’t forget about our celebratory 20% off everything in our shop this week, which is valid for this month’s drawing as well.
 Happy April, friends.
