This photo was taken with Chris’s iphone a couple weeks ago. It captures daily life too perfectly to not frame:
Our little Greta girl. She has since had her hair cut into a little bob and has all of her teeth in, but this photo melts our hearts and belongs on the wall:
Lastly, Chris and his little girl:
We can’t wait to find frames and hang them up. We’ll keep you posted on how the arrangement transforms. Any other photo walls in the works??
Our wood grain Shaker cabinet fronts were designed for busy, high-traffic homes like ours. Clad with durable textured thermofoils, this line is compatible with Sektion, Akurum, Godmorgon, and Besta cabinets from IKEA. It's the perfect, practical way to add the warmth of wood to all the rooms of your home.
We have teamed up with Loloi to create a line of rugs that are as affordable as they are beautiful. This collection houses a great mix of traditional and modern rugs, in cottage-y colorways, as well as vintage-inspired beauties that you’ll want to roll out in every room.
We partnered with Stuga on a line of hardwood floors — The Ingrid is really livable, and the color is very neutral. It doesn’t lean warm or cool, it’s that just right in-between. We have really loved putting it everywhere in our house. It’s the best jumping-off point for design, no matter your interior style. In addition to being beautiful, Ingrid is really durable — we have three kids, and we always have a home construction project going on. Ingrid stands up to it all.

A reader recently asked me if I’m starting to fully embrace traditional style and whether we still consider our house to be a “modern Colonial” and why. It was a really great question and so timely — I had really just been thinking about my approach to this home and how my style has changed […]

So so soo perfect. I love those pictures! I can’t wait to do black and white pictures when we can actually put color on our walls. Geez. But for now, I like doing colored pictures for a pop of color in our stark apartment. I can’t wait to see how the wall looks cause Ry is soooo anti gallery walls so I’m doing my very best to convince him that there is a RIGHT way of doing it ;-) aka Julia style is always the right way ;-)
I love photo walls – and LOVE the idea of a black and white one. Yay drama! :) I made one for Pierce in his music room with program covers/posters/pictures of him playing during shows, and tried one in our TV/living room. Not in love with the living room one, and have paint on the shopping list….
Beautiful. I Love it!
Here is a picture of my photo wall along my staircase… in progress….

These photos are adorable. What great choices for the gallery wall!
That photo from your husband’s iPhone is hilarious. You’re right, too good not the frame.
I love that photo of you and Chris. You’re both just tall and good looking. And I adore that photo of Greta. She is so cute with her pig tails.
I’ve always wanted to do a gallery wall, but haven’t found the right frames. PLUS, it’s just the two of us and we have no kids to display. PLUS PLUS, we don’t live in our own place so we can’t hang anything on the walls. :(
