We do more than work on our home.  Ha!  Tons more. And although it may seem like our life is revolved around fixing up our house–it really is just a hobby.  I try to do one project a day and sometimes it doesn’t happen until after Greta goes to bed, or there are some days I can sneak a quick project in during her naptime–which is when I write our blog posts.  Being a mom is my day job.  

Chris’s day job includes lots of phone calls and e-mails and the future of e-learning.  For the most part he wears whatever he wants to work and is out the door by 8 and is home around 5:30.  Sometimes it is much later, but today Chris’s company is celebrating recent successes and going golfing and out to eat for breakfast and lunch–and he’ll be home early.  But his day job is usually a lot more intense.  There are days when Greta doesn’t get to see him during the day.  But when he does come home after a long day at the office, they cuddle.  And Greta is so excited to see him.  We catch up on our days and I get to hear about real life conversations between adults and Chris gets to hear about how Greta learned how to shut herself in our closet.  Greta takes a bath and Chris starts dinner and we enjoy some time together.  And then we usually get to work on all of the projects you see right here.

So now that you know there is more to us than paint brushes and Home Depot, what is your day job? What do you do when you clock out, or the baby goes to sleep?  What do you WISH you had the energy to do?  I, for one, am still trying to find the perfect time to work out.
